Box is perfect for what we need! Huge capacity storage. It came in a flat box so a lot of assembly needed. Easy to follow instructions just time consuming a weekend afternoon project getting it together. Depending on what you store inside, make sure it doesn’t have to be moved once loaded!

We purchased this product and assembling it was ridiculously difficult! We had to grease the parts and use a rubber hammer to get them to slide together. It took two of us and was still awkward and difficult. Screws did not line up well and no tools were included to help with assembly. I would have paid extra to have the two different sized wrenches needed, included. It would have been best to have the same size screws and one size tool, included.

We bought 2 of these last summer for our new pool. We used one to hold all of the chemicals and the second one we drilled a hole in the side and we put our upgraded pump and hoses in this by the pool. It works perfect for the pump because we don't worry about getting any of the cords wet and it looks really nice.

Not happy putting this together. The manual has a gazillion languages, and it was very confusing. Good luck putting this all together. This is my 2nd day and I still have not figure it out. I would be happy if they could send somebody over here to assemble this.

This is not my first purchase of this deck box. I bought one last year and liked it so much that I decided to get another one because as we all know, you can't have too much storage space. My husband put them both together by himself and had no trouble doing it. He's an early riser so it was done before I woke up. The one I bought last year is all the same color so I like that this one has a darker lid so that they are not identical. I have them on an uncovered cement patio, close to the house, near the pool. One has some hangover from the house above it but the other one has much less and will be more exposed to the rain. I don't expect any problems because of the quality of the product. I have several smaller suncast deck boxes on the side of the house that I store gardening items in that are less sturdy and don't look very nice after a few years. That's why I changed brands. I live in Southern California so the weather isn't all that harsh but we do have a lot of sunshine that can be hard on the surface of an exposed product. The one that I purchased last year looks just the same as when I got it and it holds a lot of stuff. I am actually planning to use the last one purchased for extra storage of household and kitchen items along with a few craft items that I can no longer squeeze into the closets in the house. Should there be any problems from the expected heavy rainfall this year I will update review but I do not expect any.

I bought mine 9/2011 at[...]. It was a pain in the butt to put together by myself (wife was busy) and even though I followed instructions to the T it seems out of square and lid never easily closed and laid flat. It did keep water out (stored extra propane tank for grill as well as seat cushions) until some "varmits" started chewing on it to get in to get the bird seed my wife kept in it. Now I need a lid and front panel. Not sure if those parts are available or if I have to just buy a new one. I would recommend this to anyone needing outside storage. Just don't keep food or anything that will attract raccoons, squirrels, opossums, etc, as they have sharp teeth.

Support American manufacturing and purchase Lifetime products! Their products are durable and made in the USA. This storage box is strong and yes you can sit on it. I also own the Lifetime picnic table I have it for 2+ years and it still looks new and is well made.

We just completed construction of our pool and needed a place to store pool cleaning equipment. This 130 gallon deck box did the job! Quality can't be topped by any other product (we looked around the house & realized we have 5 other Lifetime products). The hinged lid works great and as a bonus provides extra seating. The look is contemporary and it fits in with our furniture & Florida lifestyle. A great buy.

Fabulous storage box. Really well made and all the parts fitted together easily. The instruction booklet is very clear and gives great assembly advice. This is the perfect place to store all my cushions for the winter to patio table and chairs, and during the summer great place to hide away small gardening equipment for easy access keeping my yard clean and neat just the way I like it! Makes great extra seating also.
