Well made. I suppose one person could put this together, but holding the two sides and trying to slide the end into position was more than I could handle by myself. The instructions were adequate, but could be better. I thought this item was a little pricy, but I am pleased with my purchase.

I purchased this large box to store things outside on my patio. A squirrel figured out I had seed inside and tried to chew a whole into it. I called the company to purchase another lid. They instead gave me a new lid under warranty. What a pleasant surprise! Thank you and I will continue to use and recommend these products to others.

This box is pretty well made. Mine had to have a little extra done before it could be assembled however. Pilot holes for lid hardware were marked, but not drilled. It wasn't a huge problem. The box itself is pretty good, but needs a level surface to perform at it's best. Mine is positioned on ground instead of decking and that makes it more difficult to get a good lid seal. As it works into the spot, it gets more level and shuts properly more easily.

The box is what I expected. Assembly was a little more complicated than expected and I am experienced at assembling projects. First, the holes in the floor had been cut, but there was plastic residue (complete tabs)in the holes. I could not insert the front and rear pieces until I cut the residue out with a razor knife. Second issue was the with the hinge-piston assembly. The design of the top has little room for using a screw driver let alone a drill as some videos show. This causes the screws to go in at a slight angle and caused some concerns when I could see ridges appear in the plastic (weakening the plastic wall) as I was putting the screws into the plastic. The real concern was that the plastic would buckle and hinge-piston assembly would not work properly. It has only been a week since I assembled it and I still have some concerns on the plastic wall buckling with usage and am exploring options to strengthen the plastic.

I purchased this bin as it was rated the best in terms of durability and water tightness. I bought it for the sole purpose of storing extra feed bags and hay for my horse. I was thrilled at how easy it was to put together. I was planning on using my battery-operated Ryobi for the whole job, however because of a few tight places, there were a few times I had to use a couple of flat-style wrenches. I've never put one of these bins together and it took me approximately 45 minutes. Nice clear instructions and all the holes lined up properly!

We had bought one of these years ago. It was a very sturdy deck box that did not leak so we thought we would buy another one. When we got it home and assembled it, we noticed that the new box is not quite as sturdy as the older one. This one does not have the metal brackets in the corners to keep the sides together. There is a screw you insert instead--not near as sturdy and you cannot put quite as much cushions in this one because it causes it to bulge out. Sure wish they would quit making things today cheaper and always trying to find ways to increase their profit margin. It should be about quality and that is what consumers deserve. Somewhat disappointed because we loved the older one.

No Assembly instructions and wrong size screws. This must have been a returned and repackaged item that was put back into inventory without any quality check. Manufacturer's web site could not 'find' assembly manual. Had to resort to amateur YouTube videos and run to hardware store for correct size screws. Never using Walmart site again.

Good storage box for stuff that I don't want in the house (I don't have a shed or garage) A couple tips for easy assembly: 1.) A level surface is critical to attach front and rear panels to the base assembly ( I had to use wooden shims to lift sections of the base) 2.) Leftover plastic in holes for the gas spring brackets needs to be removed before inserting bolts (I used a reamer tool from my toolbox)

This item came with the lid all acratched up, this is the 4th item I have ordered from Walmart,com that has been heavily damaged and the only recourse is to "Return it to the store" Which is not possible because it is already built and HUGE. I ordered a porch sswing....built it halfway and it was missing one of the support rods, I ordered a chicken coop and 4 ot the support poles were crushed and the wire mesh was vut through. I ordered THIS dock box, and yo can see from the photos it was all scratched up and I ordered a mini fridge, and it had 2 big dents one in the freezer and one in the door. I was looking for an alternative to ordering from Amazon, but this is not going to work out.

I have had this deck box for a while and it has served its purpose well. When the Assembly, Deck Box Gas Springs, went bad I contacted Lifetime for a price quote for two of the Assembly, Deck Box Gas Springs. Too my surprise, these two items were sent to me at no cost. I wasn't aware that the deck box was still in warranty. The product is great and so is the company.
