This box is pretty well made. Mine had to have a little extra done before it could be assembled however. Pilot holes for lid hardware were marked, but not drilled. It wasn't a huge problem. The box itself is pretty good, but needs a level surface to perform at it's best. Mine is positioned on ground instead of decking and that makes it more difficult to get a good lid seal. As it works into the spot, it gets more level and shuts properly more easily.

We've had this for about 3-4 weeks and love it. It's not hard to assemble and is very sturdy, the lid fits tightly to keep everything dry inside, and it stores a large amount of patio cushions, including the large ones. We are very satisfied and wish we had gotten this a long time ago!

Arrived Quickly. No Damage. All parts included. Easy to Assemble - however, getting the tools in some of the areas required a little patience. Holes for screws aren't pre-drilled so you have to make sure you have some of the pieces lined up correctly. You screw them directly into the plastic. Directions are fairly easy to understand, although some word guidance might have been nice. All the directions are pictures only. We actually missed two screws the first time and had to go back and add them later when we had leftovers. Once assembled, this box is sturdy and stays open on its own. We are able to store outdoor furniture pillows without having to drag them in the house or garage every time. So far, it holds 2 Rocker pillows, 3 from the love seat and two small chair pillows. Also, stays open on its own. Very Happy with this item.

Shopped in stores and online for a deck box to put outside by the pool. This one was the best priced and size for my purposes. It was also well made and sturdier than the others I looked at in the same price range. After we got it home and put it together, which was fairly easy, we were very happy with the choice we made. The top has a controlled spring hinge (gas I think) that works very well and you can lock it with a pad lock if you want.

Initially we purchased only one of these storage boxes. Once we determined it was indeed waterproof, we purchased another one for our deck chair cushions. We have only had the deck boxes a couple of weeks, but they have been waterproof for the rain we have had so far. Hopefully that doesn't change.

1. the instructions stink. 2. follow the pictures and set out the fasteners in advance. 3. actual assembly is really easy once you realize the pictures are the assembly guide. We aren't small and both of us can sit on it with no problems. We use it for often used garden equipment including edge trimmer / blower and 5 gallon gas tank for our mower. Come cold weather the garden gear goes into our shed and the deck box will store our outdoor furniture cushions with no problems.

Overall, I'm pleased with the box. My only complaint is that, where the gas springs are attached to the main box, the resin is unnecessarily thin. And, given the nature of the material, they don't align exceptionally well. This makes it far easier than it should be to damage the resin, destroying the connection point.

Not as hard to put together as I thought it would be based on reading other reviews. I got it assembled by myself. It did come with one bolt that had bad threads so I had to dig around in my tool box to find a replacement. I haven't used it yet. It does seem fairly sturdy. My six year old has already climbed on it and in it with no structural issues.

We bought this to replace an older yard box that was leaking and had a hole. I couldnt be happier with this one. It is definitely made better and has kept things dry even with all the rain we've had. Fairly easy to put together by one person and the help of a rubber mallet. Would recommend.

Well made quality product. Assembly was fairly easy, a rubber mallet and power screwdriver is a necessity in my opinion. Watch the product video before starting. Bought this for storing my lump charcoal, wood chunks and other smoking/grilling accessories on my patio. Plenty of room.
