I purchased the Lifetime 130 gallon deck box and I want to tell you it exceeds everything I had in mind for storage. It was delivered on the day promised. It was easy to put together and has kept my outdoor chair cushions completely dry and dirt free. I shopped around and found this deck box also available at Costco but even with the shipping cost it was still cheaper through Wal Mart. The other point I really liked is that it was made here in the good ole USA. What could be better? I will be purchasing another in the near future. Thanks Wal Mart and a big thanks to Lifetime who manufactured the deck box.

You will need to get smaller screw while assembling this. Their screws do not fit and their instructions even say so. There are two sets of screws that need replacing so check their placement before going to the hardware store so you don't make two trips, like I did.

We had bought one of these years ago. It was a very sturdy deck box that did not leak so we thought we would buy another one. When we got it home and assembled it, we noticed that the new box is not quite as sturdy as the older one. This one does not have the metal brackets in the corners to keep the sides together. There is a screw you insert instead--not near as sturdy and you cannot put quite as much cushions in this one because it causes it to bulge out. Sure wish they would quit making things today cheaper and always trying to find ways to increase their profit margin. It should be about quality and that is what consumers deserve. Somewhat disappointed because we loved the older one.

I am pleased with this purchase because it was delivered a few days before they promised. It was well packaged and easy for one person to carry. It took me a bit longer to assemble it then what I expected but maybe because I did not have the right tools. I am using this container as stray cats winter house. I made a cut on one of the smaller sides and installed a pet door. I covered the inside with Styrofoam sheets for more insulation and then cozied up with old blankets. It has kept the insides dry even after a lot of rain and the stray cats appear to like it as they already made a home out of it.

We ordered this to put on our new deck. I'll be honest...even though we knew the measurements, it's really big and roomy!!! Almost too big! But it's perfect for what we need-a place to put things when the weather is bad. The instructions were confusing at first because there were only pictures for most of the steps, but we were able to put it together in about a half hour. It's sturdy and will hopefully last for years. Be warned-it says you can use it for extra seating, but the limit is 250 pounds and the thing is big enough to easily seat two adults. But to keep the weight limit, an adult and a kid would be about it. It's also large enough to use as a serving area...throw on a tablecloth and set out your food. I think this was an excellent purchase and would buy it again!

Was fairly easy to put together and seems sturdy and rigid; does the job. Top lid stays open when you need it. Btw, about a year ago I bought a competitor's deck box. Put it together and when trying to move it, it fell apart - very flimsy. I returned it. I like this item and would recommend.

Love this deck box. The only caveat would be that it is not easy to assemble. Needed to sand away some excess plastic to slide panels together and needed to drill a number of pilot holes to insert screws. Once assembled though it is big, sturdy and looks good. I also went an extra step and caulked all seams to ensure it is weatherproof. Highly recommend this. Ive owned other deck boxes. This is the best.

I had bought two of the 130 gallon Outdoor Storage Deck Boxes one year apart and for some unknown reason on one of them the hardware completed rusted (the second box is fine). I called Lifetime customer service, explained my situation and was prepared to pay for new hardware. I was informed that a replacement package would be sent free of charge. Can't say enough about the service I received and am proud to buy American made products. Highly recommend Lifetime Products, Inc. Five Stars all the way!!!

Installation is next to impossible. Slats don’t slide into place properly, screw holes don’t line up or are too small for the hardware. And the instructions are way too vague both on paper and on YouTube. save yourself the hassle and buy something else.

Was looking or a good sized storage box to hold paint tins, tools, power washer and other loose items in our garage / games room - something that would keep them safe and tidy. Went for the Lifetime 130 gal as it was sold by many quality retailers and got good write up in reviews. Instructions state that assembly is a 2 or even 3 man job, but I found it simple to put together on my own. Follow the instructions carefully and it should take less than 30 mins. The main thing you need to watch is not to over tighten the bolts and make sure you have a socket wrench as some of the bolts are tricky to get at. Materials are solid and fit together well. All fittings, bolts and hinges are included. The lid can be secured with a padlock. The only thing I would have liked to see was some metal reinforcement around the padlock clasp which is made of the same Poly material as the box itself. Overall, very happy with this box, which should last years.
