I usually love my Lifetime products. The box works great as expected. I do have a small dent in a side panel (likely from shipping), and I also have some scratches on the lid (likely from the hinges/bolts/screws sliding around during shipping). Not a deal breaker. The biggest issue I had was when I was I was connecting the latch system. The back and side are placed onto the bottom with a tab the inserts and slides. However, a gap existed about 1/4 inch on the back piece. This made the back 1/4 higher that the right side. The latch mechanism was now about 1/4 of an inch higher and the bolt holes did not align. I eventually had to place the box on an uneven ground to twist the box enough to get the bolts through the proper holes. I am concerned over time the bolt will pull through the plastic on the side. Other than that, the construction of the box was easy. The lid fits tightly down. Overall I am satisfied (perhaps if I bought it in the store, instead of having it shipped, the other issues would have been fixed).

The lifetime Deck Box appears like it is very solidly built. Put it together in about 45 min with help only when installing lid. The delivery was several days earlier than promised. I didn't tighten down the pins on the hinge originally not realizing that the pistons on the lid just snap on. So I had to undo the brackets to tighten down the pins and reinstall. Had I properly read directions ahead of time I would have had it put together in 25 Min.!

I placed a call to your customer service department today regarding a Lifetime deck storage container I purchased appx 2 years ago. Unfortunately the back hinges of the deck box were subjected to the salt air and severely rusted both the back hinges that attach to the gas shock stabilizers. The gas shocks broke away from the exposed hinges not allowing the lid to stay open and slamming shut. Currently raising young grandchildren and concerned for their safety since the lid is heavy and was unable to keep it in an open position due to the rusted broken hinges and gas sockets. The actual container itself is in great shape. I spoke with your customer service rep Richard. He was the most professional, patient, extremely knowledgeable, and kind customer service rep I have encountered in a long time. Richard went above and beyond to assist my concerns I just wanted to write your Lifetime company and let you know how pleased I was with Richard and how well he took care of me. I have owned many lifetime storage containers and sheds in which I’ve been very please for many years. Not only is your product awesome you also hire awesome representatives to support your product. Was fairly easy to put together and seems sturdy and rigid; does the job. Top lid stays open when you need it. Btw, about a year ago I bought a competitor's deck box. Put it together and when trying to move it, it fell apart - very flimsy. I returned it. I like this item and would recommend.

I purchased this in 2013 (2019 now) and used in our backyard for storage of outdoor pillows and garden supplies. It’s water proof (at least in southern CA) and was a good size. The lid started to warp, I think from the sun and I wrote to lifetime. They immediately sent a replacement lid. What great service! So happy with the product and company.

I was so exited when I saw the quality. It was so heavy and appeared to be a great product. First out with the instructions and away we go. Problem 1 there were hard pieces of dark plastic blocking the holes where you slide the sides down in 3 different holes np. My husband took those off because I couldn’t get them off as they were well attached. Easy next step insert sides, side 1 piece of cake problem 2 side 2 would not go into insert. My question should the insert be bigger or panel insert smaller so we took apart panel 1 and tried it as we all ready knew it was the right size. Doesn’t fit! Now I have a 130 gallon storage box sitting in my living room waiting for a new panel ffs can no body do any thing right anymore. Then we proceed to put the screws in place so I can finish it by myself when the panel comes. No indent for screws so they tend to go crooked. There are only 2 indents and those went in fine the rest were stressful. I have bought many unassembled items including bbqs and have never came a crossed such poor workmanship for such an expensive item. Pay more get more is not at all the case with this. The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars if for quality which I would say is a 5 star. Very disappointed!

Easy to put together and tested it for waterproofness. It kept my cushions dry. Very roomy. Have room left over and I'm thinking of storing Paper goods and utensils. Would make more room in the garage. Extremely happy with it and it lasts a lifetime. Well constructed. You can sit on it.

This product was easy to assemble and looks GREAT! We live in Florida and the day after putting it together and loading some items inside, we were hit with Tropical Storm Andrea. Everything inside was completely dry!! Very pleased with the item, it's appearance and the storage space. Would definitely recommend.

Love this storage box. It’s HUGE! Room for our patio furniture cushions and ALL the balls/bats/clubs that have been accumulating around the yard and garage. Bonus that it looks great. Had a little trouble assembling and getting the lid on until I realized the end panels were not lined up evenly on one end with the front/back panels, which threw off the whole assembly. Also the screws to attach the hinges could stand to be 1/8-1/4” longer for ease of attachment. I ended up using others rather than fighting with it.

I’ve had two of these deck boxes in the past and the hardware was so much easier to install on them. I didn’t need any special tools and the screws fit without needing socket wrenches. I’m not the greatest with assembly but the previous deck boxes were extremely easy. Other than that, I’m very happy with the purchase.
