Fairly easy assembly. This is the second one that I got for my shooting range to hold different types of targets and equipment. Plenty of room, and, in my case, good for sorting AR500 and action targets from paper and plinking targets with other items. These are kept in a wooded area in all sorts of weather, including surviving harsh winters.

I placed a call to your customer service department today regarding a Lifetime deck storage container I purchased appx 2 years ago. Unfortunately the back hinges of the deck box were subjected to the salt air and severely rusted both the back hinges that attach to the gas shock stabilizers. The gas shocks broke away from the exposed hinges not allowing the lid to stay open and slamming shut. Currently raising young grandchildren and concerned for their safety since the lid is heavy and was unable to keep it in an open position due to the rusted broken hinges and gas sockets. The actual container itself is in great shape. I spoke with your customer service rep Richard. He was the most professional, patient, extremely knowledgeable, and kind customer service rep I have encountered in a long time. Richard went above and beyond to assist my concerns I just wanted to write your Lifetime company and let you know how pleased I was with Richard and how well he took care of me. I have owned many lifetime storage containers and sheds in which I’ve been very please for many years. Not only is your product awesome you also hire awesome representatives to support your product. I have two of these large storage containers (130 gallon). They are about 8-10 years old. The older one holds pool chemicals and the arms and lifter arm had corroded due to the pool chemicals. I contacted the company in hope they still have replacement parts. Not only did they have the replacements but the sent them to me free of charge! I didn't ask for them for free and I did ask what the cost would be. Maybe it is included in their warranty but they certainly could have said no because of the reason they went bad. Both boxes exteriors still look great and this company, by standing behind their products, made them a great purchase.

Love this storage box. It’s HUGE! Room for our patio furniture cushions and ALL the balls/bats/clubs that have been accumulating around the yard and garage. Bonus that it looks great. Had a little trouble assembling and getting the lid on until I realized the end panels were not lined up evenly on one end with the front/back panels, which threw off the whole assembly. Also the screws to attach the hinges could stand to be 1/8-1/4” longer for ease of attachment. I ended up using others rather than fighting with it.

Took me about an hour to assemble. Went together great. Two people recommended. I recommend using a combination of the video instructions and the printed manual. I found both to be inadequate on their own, but in combination you can make sense of each step. Only two negatives I see at this point. Couldn't tighten screws as much as I wanted because the plastic doesn't have enough integrity to allow them to be torqued down much at all. Other thing is the lid. It doesn't snap down very much at all, so it is not a tight seal. That being said, the way the lip is designed I think it would be difficult for water to get inside even in very hard rain. But, I still wish the lid was more snug to help keep any moisture out. My thoughts are this is not going to keep the contents 100% dry. I believe residual moisture is going to get in, but not direct rain and hopefully no puddling inside. We'll see.

You will need to get smaller screw while assembling this. Their screws do not fit and their instructions even say so. There are two sets of screws that need replacing so check their placement before going to the hardware store so you don't make two trips, like I did.

I was able to slide the back panel into slots perfectly, but couldnt get the front panel to slide into place at all and had to get help from someone stronger. Even though I had the required tools, some screws were tough to ratchet.. In fairness, the manual recommends 2 people to put it together. The size and color were perfect, and good value comparatively speaking.

The lifetime Deck Box appears like it is very solidly built. Put it together in about 45 min with help only when installing lid. The delivery was several days earlier than promised. I didn't tighten down the pins on the hinge originally not realizing that the pistons on the lid just snap on. So I had to undo the brackets to tighten down the pins and reinstall. Had I properly read directions ahead of time I would have had it put together in 25 Min.!

We ordered this to put on our new deck. I'll be honest...even though we knew the measurements, it's really big and roomy!!! Almost too big! But it's perfect for what we need-a place to put things when the weather is bad. The instructions were confusing at first because there were only pictures for most of the steps, but we were able to put it together in about a half hour. It's sturdy and will hopefully last for years. Be warned-it says you can use it for extra seating, but the limit is 250 pounds and the thing is big enough to easily seat two adults. But to keep the weight limit, an adult and a kid would be about it. It's also large enough to use as a serving area...throw on a tablecloth and set out your food. I think this was an excellent purchase and would buy it again!

I wanted to like this deck box. But it arrived damaged with a scratch on it. I was willing to accept this when Walmart offered some money off due to the damage. But then when we tried to put the box together it was extremely difficult to get the notches in the side panels to slide into the bottom panel. Such a headache. I returned and bought a different brand.
