The meat had over 4 pounds of fat. There is no savings purchasing the slab in my opinion. Better to purchase the pre-cut steak. The flavor of steak was good.

I buy whole portions, because I like to cut my own steaks and vacuum seal them. Very good marbling and very tender, if you know what you're doing. They keep quite a while sealed. last week I had rib-eye, I sealed last year, and it's fine. I'm getting a whole Rib-eye today.

I received the worst piece of meat I’ve ever gotten from Sam’s Club. I ordered a strip loin for delivery, and what showed up was extremely flat, very fatty, and had very little usable meat. It honestly didn’t even look like the strip loins I’ve purchased there before. This was a very disappointing selection for a delivery order, especially for an expensive cut of meat.

The steaks are flavorful, the marbling is ok. However I bought a, 13lb piece at $10 a lb (approx) after trimming I had 2.2lbs of fat, which means I paid over $20 for fat or add $2 per lb to the steaks. Overall, not bad but not great. I probably won't buy this again unless they start trimming the meat before packing %26 pricing.

It was ok not as great flavor as others stated. For NY strip it decent price, i got 14 1.5 inch steaks after trimming etc.

Meat came with bones still attached. I would NOT have chosen this piece of beef at the store due to excessive fat. You should consider better trimming. A fifteen pound piece of meat should not have five pounds of fat at 9.00 a pound.

Great meat but now outa our budget 50.00 increase means no steak for dinner.

I bought a 15.5 lb New York strip lion, 3 lb of it was fat. The actual price of edible meat is more like $12/lb. I also had to cut them up and vacuum sealed them. In my opinion, it’s not worth the effort to save 25 cents per lb versus those already trimmed and packaged in smaller packs.

Over 3 lbs of 1” thick fat. That’s over $30 for fat alone. Sam’s did refund the value, however.
