An excellent composter that should last. It’s a well thought out design. However be prepared for the time it will take to put it together and pay close attention to the build instructions. For example I misread the manual and proper assembly of the first barrel took about 45 mins and because of that, the second one only took me 10mins! It took me about 3 hours in total to put it together. A metric socket set (11 %26 13mm) will make assembly easier.

I bought the 100 gallon composter in 2017. At the end of 2019 I notice the sign of wear and rust in the hinges and latches of the composter. I send an email to the Lifetime customer service, I explain the problem and asked how I could purchase new parts for my composter. After few weeks I received email that the parts were being shipped to me. My composter is an essencial part of my garden and the recycling of vegetables and other plant remains. I have to say that the customer service and the composter are the best!!

I have this Double bin composter, and can say it’s part of our life. Composting helps our garden at the most! Lighter trash to be picked up to the land fill, our trees and all vegetation are very well and happy with every 6 weeks of 50 gallon of compost going into the ground by our tiller! Thanks lifetime for designing this equipment!

We alternate the barrels and it works fine. Did have some rust on one hinge so be sure to put grease on it when assembling (like I didn't). I think the stuff used for garage doors would be great, that's what I have on there now. But no problems, animals try to get in but give up after a while.

I purchased my tumbler several years ago. It has provided outstanding service with negligible maintenance. During the Winter and because of non gardening commitments I left the tumbler unused; this resulted in some corrosion and seizing of the metal hinges. Had I lubricated the hinges I would not have had a problem. I contacted Lifetime anticipating a charge for replacement parts and was given new hinges at no cost. The level of service provided by Lifetime, in today's marketing environment, amazed me. Thanks to Lifetime I now have what effectively is a brand new tumbler.

I thought I would email the company to see if they could help me. They returned the email straight away and asked how they could help. With an exchange of a few emails the straps were on there way and a week later they arrived at my home. What a great company. Well done

The hinges for the Composter had rusted through so I called the Customer Service. The wait on the Customer Service Line was a little long, but as soon as I was able to connect with Drocha everything worked out pleasantly. She asked me to provide her with pictures of the rusted out hinges and within 2 days they were in my mail box. She was a pleasant and thorough.

Really nice, heavy duty barrel composting unit. I gave it 4 stars because it was a bear to assemble, two people definitely needed to put it together. Otherwise, I really like it.

I received this composter in February and live in the Northeast so I haven’t been able to see it ‘cool’ yet but am really looking forward to spreading my own ‘black gold’ on my garden plants. Assembly wasn’t easy but I didn’t have too much trouble assembling the unit by myself. It seems to be pretty heavy duty but I did have one small complaint. The part # BHK that acts as a nut on the inside of the drum seem to be designed poorly. I would guess that 20% of mine split when I screwed the sheet metal screws into them. I didn’t see it as a big deal but I ended up with some of the screws without them attached on the inside of the drum. We will have to see what happens with that. Overall, I like the design of the drums and they are pretty easy to spin. I am a pretty big guy though. When full of compost I think it would be difficult for a smaller person.

I have had my composers for a few years now. The hinges rusted out after a few years. I thought I was out of luck and needed to find a new option. Luckily I checked out their website and called customer service. They sent me replacement hinges free of charge and I received them within a few days of calling. The service was friendly, easy and prompt. I am really impressed!
