An excellent composter that should last. It’s a well thought out design. However be prepared for the time it will take to put it together and pay close attention to the build instructions. For example I misread the manual and proper assembly of the first barrel took about 45 mins and because of that, the second one only took me 10mins! It took me about 3 hours in total to put it together. A metric socket set (11 %26 13mm) will make assembly easier.

I bought the double barrel compost bin over a year ago. I should have kept the hinges greased, but I didn’t, and one of them rusted together. When I opened the door one day it broke. I Emailed Lifetime thinking I would have to buy parts but before I knew, they were sending me parts at no charge, ( warranty ). It’s nice to see there are still companies that care about their customers and their product reputation. Thanks Lifetime.

This took a bit of time to assemble but has been wonderful since then. I love having the ability to let one side "cook" while adding to the other side. When one of the hinges broke I call Lifetime and they rushed a set of new hinges to me immediately. At no charge. Great customer service. I also love their portable tables.

As others have said, assembly is a pain. Tons of tiny parts, ikea furniture is a dream compared to this. Delivery came a week early which was great. Have only had this a week or so, can’t review its functionality but seems to be doing a it’s job. Comes with a clear instruction booklet for how to compost well.

We have the double bin rotating bin and love it. However, being in the Hawaii weather, the hinges rusted off in less than a year. We reached out to Lifetime and Dany responded within 24 hours, and within 3 days, we had two complimentary replacement sets of hinges. We now add a little oil to prevent the rust. The customer service is excellent and I will definitely purchase more Lifetime products.

This unit has performed beyond our expectations, beyond the warranty period A bear tried to beat this unit up, it made off with the part of the barrel by the door opening. I contacted Lifetime, and told them of my Dilemma.I was in contact with a service rep by the name of "Alejandro" he was extremely friendly,patient, and knowledgeable. He located the part, and even though it was beyond warranty, sent it free of charge to me in Canada. Very impressed with him, and lifetime products. You don't see service and generosity like this very often, Thanks so much, will buy lifetime products again.

Well made, replaces a prior unit that lasts 10 years. The bands around the barrel add significant strength and stability. Easy to put together if you follow the instructions closely. Putting the first two sides together is the trickiest part - as when the third side goes in the first 2 can separate.

Really nice, heavy duty barrel composting unit. I gave it 4 stars because it was a bear to assemble, two people definitely needed to put it together. Otherwise, I really like it.

I have had my composers for a few years now. The hinges rusted out after a few years. I thought I was out of luck and needed to find a new option. Luckily I checked out their website and called customer service. They sent me replacement hinges free of charge and I received them within a few days of calling. The service was friendly, easy and prompt. I am really impressed!

Absolute day ruiner. Between the third party company Sam's Club hired to deliver this from how everything is label and instructed to be put together. I read the reviews, I knew it was going to be a pain. But the company sent us hardware that doesn't even allow us to finish the second barrel, after three hours of trying to even get to that point. Even if it does what it is supposed to once it's together.... WE CAN'T GET OURS TOGETHER. We had to wait for the weekend all for no customer service on the weekends.
