I've purchased avocados from Sam's countless times now. And I've noticed that when they've come from Mexico- they are usually very good. They are far more likely to ripen evenly and be nice and creamy inside. Occasionally I've found some that are partly or completely black and rotten inside. But overall, the quality and price for the avocados coming from Mexico have consistently been very good. Contrast those positives with the aggravating experiences I've had with the consistently awful Sam's avocados that come from Peru. (Just to be clear: I don't have anything at all against Peru itself, its products, or its people. Just the crappy avocados Sam's insists on selling from Peru.) The avocados from Peru take much longer to even begin to ripen. And even as they do, they remain light green, instead of darkening like most other avocados do as they ripen. And if I try to use the softening stem end to decide if the avocado is ripe enough to cut open- I've repeatedly found that doesn't work for the avocados coming from Peru either. Even when the stem end has softened, most every time I've sliced one open it's already begun rotting from the seed outward. Meanwhile, the outer fruit is dry, still hard, and inedible. I've complained to Sam's store management countless times, and most recently I took the time to call %26 detail my frustrations w their corporate customer service about my repeated experiences w the avocados originating from Peru. But of course, nothing has improved. Meanwhile, I certainly can't be the only person with these issues. So it's absolutely baffling to me why Sam's continues to go back and forth with carrying avocados from Peru at all?! * Hey Sam's Corporate: if you're choosing avocados from Peru instead of Mexico to save a few cents, I'd rather pay more for much better produce.* Meanwhile- I'm not going to continue wasting my money on Sam's aggravatingly awful avocados from Peru. So annoying!!!!

Avocados are bigger than most and the price is cheaper than the grocery stores.

Ok for the price. They just lack the taste and texture of hass cados.

I normally purchase my avocados from Sams . Now I get them from Walmart. Keeping it in the family.
