Quality not the same

For quite a while the Sam’s Club avocados were the only avocados I would buy as they ripened consistently and rarely a grey spots on cutting open. I typically purchased a bag a week. Something has happened in the last few months and I am now at the point where Sam’s Club avocados are the same crap shoot as the grocery stores. I have thrown away more avocados that were gray upon cutting or a mix of hard and ripe. Also had a bag that had only 4 instead of 5 that I didn’t realize until home. What has happened?

Avocado

Hard to find good quality avacodos, especially consistently. The price jumped up quite a bit recently. They used to b under $1 each only a few months ago. As long as price stays the same for a few years, I’d def recommend them to others and continue to give them a 5/5 stars!

None ever became edible.

Hard as a rock. When they finally softened, they were bad. Cut everyone open. Either they were getting soft but still green on inside, or brown upon cutting open (after letting rippen). None of them went from not ready, to good to eat and there were 5 or 6 in there. All were thrown away. I wouldn’t have purchased them since they were so hard, but did curbside pickup.

Excellent flavor and quick to ripen

Excellent flavor and quick to ripen. In buying a tremendous amount of these over the years, I have only had one bad experience. It was at the height of winter coldness in Colorado, and the bag I purchased must've been accidentally exposed to some sub-zero temperatures for too long. Amazing, restaurant-grade / quality always. Don't be afraid of the usual gourd-like hardness when you buy them, they ripen quickly, usually in 1-3 days. Great price, large, good quantity (for my family, anyway).

High quality produce!

My wife and I love avocados and Sam's Club bag of avocados is one of our go to's for our plant based eating lifestyle. These are high quality avocados. We buy them several bags at a time due to the fact that normally they take several days to ripen when we buy them.

Creamiest avocados!

These are consistently great avocados! I purchase these almost every week and am never disappointed. They are so creamy and smooth. I've purchased avocados from several other stores and they are never as good as the one's from Sam's. These will remain on my weekly shopping list!

Healthy eating.

Avocados are good fat. I eat them regularly and Ofer sliced with salsa. It’s also great with eggs. These are good size and almost never have any issues with them. They don’t seem to be over ripe when I get them. They produce good cholesterol in your system.

Fluctuating quality

I have been buying these regularly.gor over 3 months. Initially, they were great. From about a month or so ago, some started to take a long time to ripen and by that time, they had gone bad. Some were so fibrous that they were not edible. In any bag, maybe 2 or 3 are like this. And they have become more expensive, so I have been throwing away such expensive fruit of $1.4 -$1.6 each because they are just so bad.

A BAG OF AVOCADOS

It is easier to buy the avocados by the bag. A bag stops other customers from handling individual avocados. It is much more sanitary. Once we take the avocados out of bag, they are placed in a bowl until the avocados feel soft. Now each avocado is wrapped in aluminum foil. The avocados are then put into the refrigerator until ready to use.

Always in Perfect Condition

Sam's avocados come unbruised in picture perfect condition when I cut into them. Tasty also! I say some stores must use the avocados they sell in bowling game before they are placed on shelf to shelf for sale. The avocados are majorly bruised when I cut into them YUK!
