These avacados recently are different than what we had in the past. Seems like they are picking them early and freezing them or something. They don't ripen normal and they are not worth buying because you'll waste the whole bag. I've bought at least 7 bags in the last 6 weeks. All have been the same.

They were black on the inside. They were hard when we purchased them and thought we would let them sit in paper bag for a day or so. On the third day they still had not softened up so we cut one open. It was black. So we cut them all open and not on of them was edible.

At the first of the season, the avocados were huge, beautiful and well worth the price. However, as the season has gone on, the quality has decreased. We buy at lease one bag a week, sometimes two a weel. While supplies do change, the quality standards should be held the same when the same price will be charged. That has not happened at our Sam's. The avocados have varied a great deal in size, having gone from only one fits in your hand, to being able to fold my hand around them (but they added one more to those bags, it seemed - we had a couple bags with six instead of five). The last two bags brought home were VERY disappointing. All the avocados were at the completely ripe point, and had to be dealt with immediately, instead of enjoying them throughout the week. There were several with bad spots as well, which has not been the case at the start of the season. Not sure what they are doing with the avocados, but the quality is varying a great deal, which is something the produce manager should be on top of to assure customers get a good product for the premium price they are paying.

Sam’s Club avocados are generally a good value, offering bulk quantities at competitive prices. They tend to be medium to large in size and have a creamy texture when ripe. However, ripeness can be inconsistent. Overall, they’re a convenient option for those of us who consume avocados every day, just be careful when inspecting and planning for optimal use.

I love this bag of avocados! We will put them in a bowl on the counter until they ripen, then put the bowl in the fridge to slow/stop the ripening process, using them as needed. Homemade gaucamole is the best! We also add to chili, fajitas, salads, %26 soups 🥰

I always buy avocados from Sam’s as Sam’s often have the lowest prices but more importantly, the avocados are of good quality, fresh and appear to have been handled carefully during packing and delivery to the store (no bruising). However, the avocados we bought about a week ago did not ripen and remained hard. I hope it was just a bad batch! I will try another batch next week.

This is the second time i try to buy them. Both times they are too hard, they never ripen. Even after days of being on the counter. And they are not too green they actually have a darker color you would think they are ripe but no. Very hard, i dont know how other people review mushy avocados.. i wish i got a mushy one.😆

Ordered avocados for collection and received an entire bunch of rotten avocados. When I picked them up they were so soft they felt like mashed potato, they were clearly bad. Disappointed that Sam's club would sell them this far gone but also that the Sam's club employee picking them didn't think to check them before selecting them. Cut every one open the same day i collected my order and every one was inedible ** tried to attach the photo showing all 5 completely rotten but the app will not allow me. **

I've been buying these bags for nearly a year; the price used to be $3.64. Today I was planning on buying another until I saw the new price, $6.96 (yes, nearly double)! Sam's club is a ripoff; I'll just buy them individually at Publix for $1-$1.25 each.

I usually don't buy avocados because they take forever to ripen. Then when they do, they go bad fast. These were great! Only took a few days to ripen, and the texture on them was great! Put them in the fridge to slow down the ripening. Definitely buying again.
