Great taste & easy to prep

So, we picked this up, for a couple days we got out what we wanted to make a sandwich, nuked it and enjoyed. Then the majority of it went into a crockpot with just enough water to cover the bottom, bbq sauce on top and WOW! Super amazing for folks who either are too busy to cook or just don't want to spend all day tending a smoker.

No taste of beef, just bacon/ham/pork. Awful.

I purchased this BEEF brisket to heat and serve with mashed potatoes and mushroom gravy. Boy, what a disappointment. It's extremely salty and has a bacon/ham taste. It was hard on edges and pulled apart like spiral ham, not anything like beef. I'm actually not convinced this isn't pork. This does NOT taste like beef whatsoever. So of course it was awful with my potatoes and gravy. Ruining an entire meal. I can't believe I spent almost 30 dollars on such a horrible piece (or should I say pieces) of meat. This is deceptive and should be marked SOMEWHERE on this package that it is a mock of pork, bacon or ham, and that it does NOT have any resemblance of beef at all. Shame on you all for selling this and leading people on.

Disappointing is an understatement

Pros… great price for what it is, if you want dry, flavorless, tough brisket. Cons…I tried one bite and the rest was left. Even my will eat anything hubby has had a hard time getting this eaten. Additionally this is overcooked so there’s no moisture and while there is a bit of smoky flavor, the dry, salty, tough as nails to chew flavor supersedes anything palatable.

Not the best quality, but better than others

I bought three of these at different times. The first two were wonderful and easy to prepare. Not the best quality, but much better than any alternative store-bought beef brisket that I can think of. But the last package was not cut correctly, tasted like beef jerky, and was impossible to prepare without it being very tough. I tried microwaving, frying, steaming, baking, and even cold, and the result was fairly consistent -- tough and dry. I think that they need a higher standard of quality control.

Tough, chewy, never again

My mouth watered as I sliced open the packaging. Since it said fully cooked, I bit off a piece and it was terribly tough and chewy. I tried another piece. Same. I was incredibly disappointed, but I put it in a pan with a little water, topped with some barbecue sauce hoping that might help to tenderize, and heated according to the directions. I ended up with barely edible, tough as shoe leather, slices. My first time buying and my last. I can't risk another 20 buck.

Disappointed in the consistency of quality.

Disappointed in the consistency of quality. Our family typically really enjoys this brisket. But you never know if you are going to get a good batch or not. My last purchase was through pickup, so I didn't get to pick my own and it was a bunch of gristle and fat, packaged all in a jumble. I do mostly pickups at Sams, but will have to go inside and take a look before grabbing this next time. It is not cheap either.

Terrible!

Bought 2 packages for July 4 company and this brisket was embarrassingly bad. Tough, grisly and tasted bad. Attempting to chew a bite results in a huge ball of tough meat. My husband can normally chew and swallow anything, but not this. I would not feed it to a stray, starving mongrel. I would give this product zero stars if possible.

Garbage

What a waste of $19 bucks! Wanted to do a BBQ night, something different got this and it was worse than dog food as a matter of fact my dog who eats any and everything did not want no part in this brisket. Tossed it after I warmed it after 1 bite, no one in my family of 5 liked it ended up ordering pizza.

Great BBQ sandwiches

I have only bought this once ( so far! ) so I don't know about quality control issues, but the one I got was delicious. I heated the slices in a pan with Phil's BBQ sauce ( from San Diego ) and served on toasted hoagie rolls with slaw and dill pickles on the side. Man oh man!!! Sooooo good !
