This unit cools good but it doesnt pull any moisture out even when set to dry. We had it operating 2 weeks and still at 70% humidity. aadded a dehumudifier and got down to 50% but AC unit should be able to do this. I wouldnt buy this unit again. Buy one that doesnt bring in outside air/ only exhaust air. Just my 2 cents.

I purchased this unit it was good at first then I kept getting the P1 code. I tried draining it from the bottom drain which is in a terrible location. I followed the instructions on how to do it. Water was everywhere. The drain is to low. I will never purchase this model again.

I purchased this air conditioner to use in a small cabin. I wanted something large enough to cool it and the 2 loft sleeping areas. My issue was the windows would not support an air conditioner large enough to do the job. This Midea floor model AC vents out the window without having to support all the weight of the unit and the fact that it uses inverter technology means it uses about 40% less power than other AC's and makes it easier on my generator. Installation is pretty straight forward using the appropriate parts for venting depending on whether the window is a slider, or a double hung and place it where you want it. I really like the fact that the vent house is already mounted on the air conditioner and the height of the unit makes it super simple to bend at a 45-degree angle and straight out to the window mount. The remote is large, easy to read and batteries were included. I also downloaded the Midea app which only took a couple of minutes and setup an account, connected to my wifi and controlling the unit is a snap regardless of your location. This unit comes with a bunch of features like a timer mode, swing button, fan button, mode button, sleep button and an LED display for temperature and mode. The only negative I've found so far is the weight of the unit which is about 75 pounds, but it isn't like you're going to be moving it around a lot after to you settle on a location and if you do it's on rollers to make that easier. I don't plan to use the dry or dehumidifier feature, so I haven't included that in my review.

I purchased this air conditioner to get ready for a heat wave where the daytime temperature is to exceed 101 degrees F. I spent all day installing the unit and then read the manual. It states the warrantee is void if the outside temperature exceeds 95 degrees F. What good is this air conditioner if it doesn't work when its hot outside?

Due to my HOA absurdly banning my removable window A/C unit as a "structural modification" to our condo, I had been researching these portable units for a year or two, but had been skittish due to mixed reviews. Well, the misery-inducers at the HOA came after the low-hanging fruit again, so this year, I was forced to make the change. Well, wow, is all I can say - I am VERY happy that I did! This Midea Duo is awesome. Cools fast, stays cool, great features (the phone app being huge), and is of a low enough profile that the joy-killers can't see it. There was some jerry-rigging of foam (plus a little extra needed) to seal up cracks, and yeah, it takes up a bit of space indoors, but who cares? It's just where we sleep and shower, and it is (rapidly) 66 degrees in there whenever we want (90 plus outside). We'll be removing it for the winter soon, but I'll be excited to re-install it next summer; it is a tad pricey, but you gotta pay for comfort. It's great.

Acquired and installed this week. Unfortunately, when it was delivered by Fedex, it was placed inverted on the sidewalk with the bottom styrofoam dislodged to the point that it was completely disengaged on one edge (could see inside the package, and packing material was poking out). Fortunately, there was no obvious physical damage; however, I am concerned that the unit may not perform well long term. At certain fan speeds, there is also some "buzzing" sounds like vibrating plastic that are much louder than the unit itself. This was installed in a sliding RV window. The included pieces JUST fit, and I didn't have to make any permanent changes to either the window or the unit itself. I did have to use Metal tape to seal unavoidable gaps in the window installation (corners with radii in them), and I'm not super-confident in the structural integrity of the window mount - not a fault of the unit - specific to this installation. I am very bothered by the gaps left between the clips in the duct piece and and the slots in the window mount, but it can only be so precise. I can always use something to seal them up. One thing I found is that the duct is NOTABLY warm when the unit is operating at high power - not hot per se, but enough warmth to convince me that it's adding to the heat load. I've seen some reviews where they claim the duct doesnt' get warm. I suspect they weren't checking it at max load. Aside from the occasional buzzing, the unit is doing a good job so far, but we're only four days in. I can't help but want to get this unit replaced due to the lack of confidence I have in the condition and way it was delivered.

Im a real person and did not get any discount or promo (I wish!!!!). So heres a real review. I get cranky when I'm hot. So I use this in my upstairs master bedroom to supplement the Central air conditioning. Because for whatever reason, be it leaky ducts or poor attic insulation, in my south facing townhouse, the upper level is consistently 10 to 15° warmer than the main level. The Central air conditioning unit itself works fine and the main level will be a FRIDGE but my upstairs bedroom will be like 88. Now with the Midea I actually get COLD lolol. This thing works. Hopefully it keeps working a long time. Just purchased in May 2025. Don't expect it to cool your 90 degree room instantly. Like any air conditioner, it takes time. Get it going the day before you know the heat wave is coming. It will work way better if its maintaining a cool room vs plugging it in when its already 88 in your room and expect a miracle. I agree with others, the template thing you put in the window to connect the house... isnt great. We will probably get creative and make it more secure. But for now, it works. - Not as loud as I was expecting. Pretty quiet actually when running. The loudest part is just when it turns on. Reminds me of hotel room a cooling unit. - It is not for casement windows like advertised. Go buy a weird velcro kit thing to use with it if you have casement windows (crank out). Thats what we did. Not super cute looking , but a fine trade off to me being sweaty and angry lol. - it has a circle hose inside the oval hose and I am not sure why that is better. Need to read the packet more maybe idk but my bedroom is 68 degrees rn and im happy.

Worked really good for the first year cooling a 400 sq ft bedroom, at night time only during the hottest summer months. The second year the unit had a noticeable decline. It will drop the temp to 68 at the beginning of the night but will not be able to sustain that temp all night. I do think it also started to lag at the end of the first year as well. The first year it was really quiet and did get louder as the performance declined. A warranty claim may be successful but will likely cost as much as a new unit from what I have researched. Sam's club does have a satisfaction guarantee. NOTE: House AC is set at 72. Removable filters were always cleaned. Disassembled the outer case to clean and blow out the inside coils between the summers. The desired sleeping temperature is 65 in that closed room only. It can currently cool a 72 degree room to 70 degrees.
