This is a great portable air conditioner due to the windows in the back of my house that slide from side to side I can’t put a traditional air conditioner in there. This one works great cools down most of the back end of the house and is very quiet and easy to install.

Actually works. Tried the one hose portables after our central AC quit. Would not cool the room but this dual hose one does great. A great temporary solution.

The single-hung windows in my living room are really narrow, so I couldn't fit a normal window air conditioner in them. I installed this portable air conditioner in less than 20 minutes after reading the instructions and watching the video (so a lot easier to install than a window air conditioner). This was a good solution, as this air conditioner works well to cool down my open-beam living room. I did figure out that I had open the upper drain hole and let it drain condensed water into a bucket, otherwise it started to leak into my floors (probably because it's humid here, or my children were running it on "dry" mode). According to the box it was in, the CEER is 12.3, so not as energy efficient as a window air conditioner, but probably good for a portable air conditioner. (In the bedroom we have the Midea 8,000 BTU U-shaped inverter window air conditioner, and it has a CEER of 15, which is excellent.) On the highest fan setting it's pretty noisy (much louder in comparison to the U-shaped window air conditioner), but it's just a low hum on the lowest setting. We can still hear the television on high fan setting, but it's noticeable, so we usually drop it down to medium or low when watching TV.

It's a larger machine than some of the other portable AC units I've seen and used but it does the job nicely. Many programmable features like timer, temperature, fan speed and oscillation and different modes such as cool, dehumidify and more. It works so well that we haven't had to use our central AC much even with outside temps in the mid to upper 90's. So it's worth a try. Only downside is it's a heavy and bulky model so hopefully, it won't have to be picked up or moved much. But still worth trying it.

Works well. Much quieter then older window unit. If you use dry feature you need to drain water to a bucket to empty the unit of water. There is no pump. The only concern I have is that drainage does not go out side automatically. You have to manually empty unless there is a house drain nearby. When the internal tank fills up I presume it will shut off. Which might explain why some people had theirs stop running after a week or two.

Great portable AC but quite heavy and the window mounting to flimsy, The unit has to be pretty much in a straight line with the window opening. There is a big pull on the window mount by their double exhaust hose so make sure you press the window against the mount quite hard.

Great AC, but not as portable as I though it might be. I have portable ACs in the past that could be wheeled around easily from room to room. This one is a bit heavy and cumbersome to set up to be truly portable. On the other hand, it cools great. Or at least it did until I made the connection to the included remote. I couldn't get the AC and the remote to work together well. I finally became frustrated, unplugged the AC, and took the batteries out of the remote to kill that connection so that I could operate the AC manually. I was not happy with that ordeal. I wanted to return it, since it was not exactly what I wanted, but I learned that there was only a 48 hour return period. Now, I'm stuck with an AC that I don't want. I'm a bit angry about that because it wasn't cheap. I won't be making purchases like this online from Sam's club again. I mean 48 hours? Really?

Easy to install but tube not flexible so limited install location. Cools but not great. I replaced a 7 yr old unit that still works great and will freeze me out. Because I wanted the energy efficient unit. Now I still have to turn on old unit in middle of day for couple hrs to keep 400 sf room cold. Not sure that I am saving energy. It is a little quieter than old unit. the swing only goes up and down, not side to side.

Ordered as new but received used at least I guess so. The box was completely missing the bottom looking like it had been cut off. The unit was actually taped with a lot of clear tape into the box. Looking inside the box I saw no packing materials and saw dirt all over the unit. I didn't bother to take the unit out of the box. Who knows how long it had been used and what kind of dirt and whatever else there is present. I don't think any bits and pieces were there. I ordered new and expected new. I had to return and buy elsewhere because this was no longer available.

I purchased this unit because the last unit I had was a Media window air and extreamly quiet and cools quickly. But this one in a 250 sq.ft. space it take a look time to get to tempature even through it said 450sf? this was is load and is not efficent,would not reccomend?
