Returned - poor product
Returned this unit due to poor quality. Wasn’t cold, kept cycling off even though it wasn’t reaching the temp that was set. Thermostat may have been bad is my guess.

Wanna Keep Cool This Summer?
Went into Sam’s Club (as well as three other stores); did my comparison and chose this product. Took it home, hooked it up, it works as promised. I highly recommend this air conditioner.

Flawed design.
The duo hose system has gaps. The band around the hose itself is not fully fitted, daylight can be seen where hose and band do not have a complete fit. Where hose clips in to window slider there is a gap at each connection clip.

Item does not last; Deceptive Company on refunds
UPDATE, BUYER BEWARE: it is getting close to summer months and an FYI for potential buyers; I wrote a review on June of 2025 concerning this Midea product titled "Item does not last." Midea wrote a reply to contact us. I did, they requested a bunch of information about where, when, product %23,etc. I received an email from Midea saying they are pleased to inform me that a refund has been submitted for review and once accepted will take 14-21 business days to receive. In the mean time (it was very strange) i must have received at least 5 requests to send a POSITIVE review. (i wasn't going to send one until i received the refund, and then would give an updated review). I am glad i didn't, because it has 11 months and no refund yet. Very deceptive business. Demanding a positive review before we can see if they follow up on there promise. The item did not last, and they did not stand behind product or the promise of a refund which they initiated.

One year and it is downhill from then on
Worked really good for the first year cooling a 400 sq ft bedroom, at night time only during the hottest summer months. The second year the unit had a noticeable decline. It will drop the temp to 68 at the beginning of the night but will not be able to sustain that temp all night. I do think it also started to lag at the end of the first year as well. The first year it was really quiet and did get louder as the performance declined. A warranty claim may be successful but will likely cost as much as a new unit from what I have researched. Sam's club does have a satisfaction guarantee. NOTE: House AC is set at 72. Removable filters were always cleaned. Disassembled the outer case to clean and blow out the inside coils between the summers. The desired sleeping temperature is 65 in that closed room only. It can currently cool a 72 degree room to 70 degrees.

Frustrated owner
Poor sliding window (horizontal) adaptor. Brittle clips broke so I have yet to be able to use it. They are sending replacement but out of stock for 2 weeks. AC seems to work fine. I'll bump up this review once I receive the replacement adaptor and have a working system.

Did not work for our 350 sq ft room
The rotating fan feature was nice and helped circulate the air, but it wasn't able to keep our approximately 350-square-foot room as cool as we had hoped. It did lower the temperature somewhat, but not enough to keep the room comfortably cool. It may work better in a smaller space, but it didn't meet our expectations for a room this size.

Not for use in a hot climate
I bought this unit in hopes of keeping my master bedroom 10° cooler than the rest of the house. I only use it at night and I’m only looking for the room to be 77°. I don’t think these are wild demands personally. This unit can’t count cope with it. It worked fine from March until late June, and then it abruptly stopped cooling the room. What it seems to do is run the compressor for 1.5 minutes and the air that it produces is cool. It’s around 70 which is cool in our hot climate. The problem is 1.5 minutes of cooling with another five minutes of the unit recovering and cooling down is never gonna get the room to 77. It’s never gonna get the room to 80 when it is 85 or 86 outside, that’s been what I’ve been observing with it. Also the side of the unit that is responsible for exhausting error the air that comes out that gets to about 130°. I just wonder if this thing is overheating either way it’s not gonna cool my room when it’s 100° outside and like I said I’m not looking for crazy levels of cool. I’m not looking for the room to be 70 or 60 or anything like that I’m just looking for like 77 to 80 it can’t do it. So if you’re in a warm climate like Texas, you’re gonna have to buy a different unit. I’ve had much cheaper offbrand units that have done much better job than this one has when it actually gets hot so it works until it’s actually hot and then it just dies.

The unit works great....powerful & quiet....produces COOL air....installation issues: hose is very "stiff"....difficult to work with, the "opening" for the hose in the window sliders should be in the center....why to the left of that piece....pre-fit window sliders first to window, snap hose to window sliders....be very CAREFUL....plastics parts will break....set in window opening....adjust the very stiff hose for the best bend....height....move unit for proper distance to wall....center unit to the "vent" opening in the window sliders....try to keep hose straight....the HOSE is very heavy and stiff....any movement will effect "clips" to snap out or move the "window sliders"....to help seal the "air gaps" around the hose fittings/opening of the window sliders....I wrapped an "thin bath towel" around it....the large outside opening to the hose fit between glass window and window screen....Midea needs to install an outside screen to this LARGE opening in the hose....birds nesting, animals entering....plus a hood over it, to prevent blowing rain from entering hose.
