I got this unit for two reasons: the easy installation and the lower noise. The installation wasn't that bad, but the structure you put in the window is very flimsy, so when you move the unit, it falls apart very easily. But that is not the bad part; the noise is bad. I have measured up to 58 decibels, but it's usually 53 decibels. I gave up, I cannot sleep with that noise! But it's too late to return it!

The air conditioner works great, is quiet, and has good controls. If the window to hose connection went together easily, I would give it a FIVE star rating.

It puts out lots of cold air but only one button works on the remote. Also seems like the connection between the hose and the window guard could be much stronger, it's pretty flimsy and pops out at times.

Seems to be a good A/C works quietly to keep room cool and at consitent temp. Instrustions vague and not explained well or in enough detail to fully understand the operations. Still guessing and expermenting with the features.

BUYER BEWARE!!! REQUIRES A DRAIN FOR WATER I've purchase many window AC units in my lifetime This is the only one that has ever required a drain for water from the unit with a tube. Not convenient for a bedroom unless you have a drain in the room or want to bucket the water out as needed.

Much better build quality that other portable AC units I've seen, particularly the window exhaust adapter. The controlled make-up air, the "duo" from its name, is a strong selling point. And the "sweep" mode for the supply register is a really good feature for mixing the air in the room. Though lacking on the actual details of the variable capacity provided by inverter compressor speed control, the concept is well established. Like all portable AC units, its major draw back is that the condenser is in the house, i.e., it's not a split system. This characteristic makes all portable AC units less efficient than window AC units. For the same reason, portable AC units do not control humidity as well as window units.

This portable air conditioner is an excellent choice! While it initially seems a bit bulky, the setup is worth the effort. Fitting the exhaust through the window took a little time to get right, but once it was in place, the performance was impressive. The unit cools the room quickly and efficiently, providing much-needed relief during hot days. Although it is portable, it’s designed to stay in one place and does a fantastic job of cooling the designated area. The best part is that it is a smart device, and you can control it with your phone. I even set up a schedule to run in sync with my main house AC. This portable unit runs during peak hours and keeps the house cool until the rates drop, at which point my main AC kicks in. The controls are intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy to adjust settings on the go. Overall, this portable AC delivers great value and reliable cooling power. Highly recommended!

Central AC went out so we were in a bind. Bought two of these units because I didn't know if one would be enough. Ended up only needing the one. This is my first experience with this type of unit and it exceeded my expectations. Not difficult to set up and it cooled our living room and kitchen really well. With the help of fans throughout the rest of the house it helped those too. Only thing I would change for the future is that I wouldn't use the adhesive, flat, insulation tape/pad. Instead I would use the thicker, non-adhesive insulation to wrap around the unit as well as filling in the gap above between the two windows. I only used the unit for a few days, and as a "portable" unit, the adhesive isn't transferable and is difficult to get off the window sill.

Powerful Ac. Keeps our bedroom cool. It does make some noise but much quieter than the other two portable Acs we have around the house. It does use a lot of electricity. If we have a lot of other stuff on the breaker will trip. Overall I am happy with what I paid for.

We sent this portable air conditioner to a family member in need. They’re older Home in a northern state has no air conditioning, but there are some when it gets very hot and humid. This family member has a chronic illness so we wanted them to be as comfortable as possible, this turned out to be a great unit. Her husband was able to vent it and get it going with no difficulty. They say that down to a very comfortable temperature within 10 minutes and it pretty much cools half of their house. We believe that it’s a very nice unit and well worth the money . It did happen to be on sale for $75 off when we purchased it, but it was still nearly $400..
