Used production model for our home office and is the perfect option to keep the room cool. Love the fact that is is also a dehumidifier. Agree with the other reviews that the unit is heavy but aren't all AC units. But what is great/different about this one is that there is no lifting involved (there is no way that I could actually lift and install a window unit). I could slide this unit where it needed to be. And when the weather cools down, the plan is to side it into the closet for storage. The sleet modern design blends into the room. It runs quietly and it is nice to have the remote control feature and a timer feature. The installation instructions were clear but was also nice to have the QR code to access the installation video as secondary instructions. Only needed a screwdriver, ruler and knife or scissors to install.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I put this in my den at 10am on a 90 degree (Tennessee) day. I left to run errands. Upon returning at 3pm, there was an amazingly huge difference. It is easy to use, quiet, and has superb air flow. I've already purchased a smaller one to put in my storage shed.

We got it for one of the larger rooms, which happens to be above the garage, so it gets hot in the summer. We got this, and within minutes of turning it on, we could feel the change. Nice cold air, good air movement, humidity went down so fast and now the room is so comfortable. 100° and high humidity outside, but nice and cold in the room. We actually have nice heavy blankets in the room since it gets so cold. The window it is in, gets the morning sun and stays in the direct sunlight until the afternoon. Very happy with it. We're actually planning on getting one for our shed, it works so good and have no concerns about it keeping up with the even hotter temps in the shed.

I really appreciated the way Midea designed the box! I was able to just slide the top off and not have to lift the air conditioner up and out of the box! 2. I loved that the instructions included QR codes to watch instructional videos on how to set up the air conditioner. 3. I have a vertical window and was amazed by how easy the set up was. You do have to cut several pieces of foam and tape but it wasn't hard. Once we had the window plate installed all that was left to do was connect the hose to the window! The hose is stiff. I had to pull up on it as my husband tried to clip it into the window plate. 4. We plugged it in and pressed power. We immediately heard a loud clicking. It was very loud and sounded like the air conditioner was going to break. We could see something white flying around in the fan blades. We shut the power off with hopes of trying to retrieve whatever was flying around inside. The problem was once you shut down power the automatic fan swing closes and you can't manually move it. We turned power back on and luckily the flying object ricocheted onto a small ledge inside. We were able to carefully get it out and that solved the noise problem! If we had not been able to retrieve that plastic piece we would not have been able to use the air conditioner as the noise was so loud and annoying. 5. we turned it back on and was pleasantly suprised with how quiet it was even with the fan on high. 6. I love the inverter! I took the air conditioner outside to drain after running it solid for 3 days even though it didn't have the empty code yet. there was maybe 1/4 cup of water in it. The inverter really works well and pulls the water and hot air out through the double hose. All in all I love this air conditioner. If Midea could investigate their manufacturing process and remedy what's going on with that little plastic piece I wouldn't have 1 complaint

So far, it's working well to cool a moderate sized room. Humidity here is high, and after about 10 hours of use it still does not appear to have a full condensation reservoir. I'd buy it again, though I'm disappointed in the lack of an online user/installation manual.

The best portable AC I have bought. This can keep my large master bedroom at 64 degrees on a 100 degree day. The portable AC unit before this one would stay around 70 degrees on a similarly hot day. And ontop of that, its even quieter than the old one!

We live in the desert Southwest and have central air. In order to cool the master bedroom off enough to sleep we had to cool the entire house down to 72 degrees from our normal setting of 80. This unit is quiet, efficient and surprisingly easy to set up. Our electric usage has dropped dramatically. I cool the bedroom down to 70 while leaving the rest of the house at 78 at night. It has paid for itself, I sleep next to the unit and it is exceptionally quiet compared to a window unit. A best buy for sure!

The QR code in the installation book was perfect for someone of my low skill set. Even with the video setup was a little clunky. I have used this product for several days and I love that I can turn it on with the app. It is very quiet and the features are more than I could have asked for.
