Received on a promotional deal and couldn’t be happier. This air conditioner blows extremely cold air and is a breeze to move around with the wheels gliding across many different surfaces. The kit included to mount to any window style is also very user friendly. Sleeping with this unit is also incredibly nice as it hardly makes a sound. I would recommend to anyone and plan on getting another soon!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used portable air conditioners before. This one was done a lot better. Dual hoses are needed (intake & exhaust) for any portable a/c to prevent a negative pressure situation. This unit has bundled them into one semi-rectangular expandable tube. Inside the they are separated but it's done very well and because of this doesn't look unsightly. The unit came with everything needed to install in any window including weather stripping and window security brackets. The unit has 4 modes. Cool, Dry, Fan & Auto. In Dry mode you may need to empty a water reservoir but the until comes with a hose and it can pump it out up to 6 feet high. In Cool mode it is unlikely to need to be emptied. It comes with a huge detailed remote that I have messed with a few times but honestly I'd much rather use the app from my phone. It's easier to use and you can set up schedules. The app also ties with a weather service so not only will it tell me the inside temperature but it tells me outside temp and humidity as well. The unit works very well. It does a fine job of cooling and adjusts fan speed very well. I am very impressed with how quiet this unit is compared to other units I have used, my 8 year old daughter even commented on it. I did receive this product for free in exchange for reviewing it. So far I am very happy with this product and am consider getting another for a room upstairs.

This unit is AWESOME and so effective in cooling down our area where we have a side-by-side frig and 2 chest freezers so the motors will heat up the room....thermometer showed 98 degrees in room, within couple hours it was down to 73 degrees, which is as low as we want it in that room! Definately worth the money!!!

Bought this on a Friday and by Monday I returned it due to the clips both holding the adapter clamshell together and those holding the adapter into the window being too weak to hold. When I was able to actually get them to hold in place the unit worked fine but took forever to cool my 150 sq ft room. It ran all the time. Chatted with support to see if I could get replacement hose connections but they said it would take 2 months.

The controls are easy to use. I monitor the electric usage. Right now it's 93° outside and 78° inside and it's using less than 800 watts. When it needs to it uses as much as 1100 watts. An amazing savings over my other A/C that uses 1400 watts any time it's on to cool the same space. Midea Duo is a lot quieter too. That said; the sqft coverage, area it cools, is not quite as much as they say it is. "blows cool air up to 26 feet away, reaching every corner of your home." has not been my experience. What it does is create an area of coolness in front of the unit extending a radius of 6 or 7 feet. Perfect for my small bedroom. Additional fans help it reach the corners. Possibly if you have a home that is open space 26 feet long it would work that way. What could be better: the word "Portable" implies it works in a variety of types of locations. Not that many. The one set up described in the manual is doable. What if you have something like a big old radiator in front of the window? The duo tubes will extend 4 feet or so up from the base. Despite the accordion design they are not very flexible, but will reach over the obstacle. The window interface is the problem. It is not designed for any stress whatsoever. Meaning that if the Duo tubes have to stretch at all to reach the window the adapter that clicks into the sheet of plastic you insert into the open window won't hold at all. The sliding window adapter comes in 3 parts so every thing will fit neatly in the shipping box. They should have sucked it up and made it one substantial piece. It is constantly falling apart and leaking air. I'm having to reinforce the seams with industrial grade duct tape. Also where it meets the window insert. The little clips to hold it in place are a joke. Where the adapter meets the Duo tubes will have to be taped also. Maybe tonight after it cools down outside I can tape it all together as one airtight piece. Reinstall it in the window. I

Worked great, then died before the end of 3 months!! Only a couple days before I have to return or wait for warranty to decide if they will refund my money! That could be 10-14 days and house went hot! Try sleeping in 85 degrees or cooking food. Not sure I want to go through that again with a Midea!!

This is a fantastic unit! I needed additional cooling in a kitchen as my existing unit is undersized. Unboxed the unit and there are many brackets, adapters, and seals for attaching the exhaust hose to your window. In my case I didnt need any of these because I simply hung the exhaust so it would relieve to my oven vent hood which pulls the heat up out of the kitchen... For anyone needing to connect to a window, I've installed many a window ac unit and rest assure, you won't have any problems as Midea supplied more than enough hardware. It took me all of 5 minutes from unboxing to turning on the unit. I was taken aback by the power of the blower. This thing moves some air. At first it was just air but after about 2 minutes the cooling kicked in and boy such refreshing cold air! Over the course of the day, my kitchen will heat up from 72°F to about 81°F making it rough on kitchn workers on evening shift. With this unit running in tandum, it now only gets to 74°F. Huge difference. A few notes: 1. The unit is heavy and difficult to get out of the box. Save yourself the trouble and just tear the box apart. 2. It has wheels making it easy to move around after it is unboxed. 3. The exhaust is hard plastic accordion and somewhat heavy/bulky when pulled out. It might need some support if attaching to a window but I understand the need for noncollapsability and yet portability. 4. It comes with a remote to control the fancy functions but also has controls on the unit as well. I rate this unit as a 5 star. Ive never owned a portable ac unit and am impressed with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in an older house so AC takes forever to get to the upstairs. I put this in my bedroom and turn off the ac during the night. It's amazing. I saved so much money already it would of bought this years ago. It cools the whole room really fast. It's says 450 square but my room is bigger and even reaches to my master bathroom. It's annoying with the window, to place it where I wanted but its save money so I just have to deal.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the prettiest air conditioner I've ever seen! Because it's black, it just kind of melts into the background and doesn't stand out like white air conditioners. I'd also imagine that you won't notice when it gets dirty as soon because of it. I can't say for sure, mine hasn't gotten dirty yet. It works better than advertised and really cooled of the space I put it in. There's so many features that I haven't even tried yet! My favorite is the "swing" which is like oscillation on a fan, but it swings the vents up and down. You can feel the air circulating from across the room! It comes with a very chic remote with an LED screen that you can control it and even set your favorite setting to just click on. I will say the remote is white and not black, but that didn't bother me, it's still pretty. There's an app where you can control the ac with as well. If I ever need another portable ac I'm definately buying another one of these!

Looks like all the parts are new and unused, but the machine itself appears to have been wiped down in places. With a brillo pad. This is immediately after unboxing. The blue tape they apply for shipping has been lifted and stuck back on. Looks like someone already brought this brand new unit home, so I'm hopeful it works.
