If ya like mashed potatoes, you’re gonna love these. Hey! Yukon Gold- need I say more? It has been my experience that it’s best to thoroughly thaw these before you heat them up in a microwave, though. The outside thaws first, and insulates a frozen core. In my experience, the 4-minute stated microwave time is gonna run you 20 minutes, or more, because of this. It’s best just to let them thaw, and use the microwave to heat them up to serving temperature.

I don't have proof, because these potatoes weren't frozen when I received them, but their texture was very much like they had been previously frozen: watery and separated. I had to turn them out into a mixing bowl and beat with a mixer, adding butter and heavy cream to make them smoother. They had a good taste--but the texture was off.

If you're looking for a super quick mashed potato option, these might work, but they don’t have much flavor on their own. If your family prefers richer, well-seasoned mashed potatoes, you may need to add butter, salt, or other seasonings to enhance the taste. My son wasn’t a fan, so these might not be the best choice for picky eaters.

These potatoes are excellent and a great value. I generally get two meals for myself and daughter out of each container. The leftovers stay fresh for a few days so rarely waste much. Because of health issues it's extremely hard to cook a full meal and these are just so simple. Fresh potatoes go to waste because they don't keep like they used too

These potatoes taste better than mine. Tastes like homemade not store bought. Haven't made mashed potatoes at home since I found these. Buy these, Harry's Turkey Gravy and pick up one of Sam's Rotisserie Chickens and your meal is almost complete in 20 minutes.

I bought these because the price of potatoes had gone so high I thought I might as well save time and buy the pre-made potatoes rather than make them from scratch. However, I don't leave lumps in mine, so my family was not happy with the substitute. I added cream, butter and salt to these because they tasted pretty bland as well. Sour cream probably would have been good. I really wanted these to work because I hate peeling potatoes.

We get these all the time! They taste great…like homemade. I’ve had a few issues which is why I didn’t give it 5 stars. One pack was moldy when I opened it even though it was still good based on the best by date. I had a recent pair that didn’t get soft and creamy. Hopefully those 2 incidents were flukes! It had deterred me from purchasing!

The positives: ease of use and fast. I don’t know if I will ever peel another potato to boil and mash. The flavor and texture and quantity are all good. I don’t make mashed potatoes or use any others after having had these. Not so good – absolutely nothing!

These are a great alternative when you don't have time to do yourself from scratch. A hundred times better than instant and some of those other pre-made mashed potatoes out there. They're soft and yummy. Used this at Thankgiving and got a lot of compliments. I'll definitely keep these on my Sam's Club favorites!

These are just like homemade and a whole lot easier. Yukon gold makes the best mashed potatoes. My family loves this product. As a professional cook, I really appreciate a good quality product that saves me time and effort while providing a nice meal for family and friends.
