I purchased the same reel 4 years ago, it finally needed to be replaced. This time we bough 2..one for our front and back yard. It’s so easy to use, no twisting up, tangling and so easy to Wind up! I was so happy to be able to be able to order in line and puck them up. Highly recommend this.

Why did I wait so long to buy this? Years of wrestling with hoses and cheap plastic contraptions that were horrible. This is a dream. Sturdy, wheels nicely (even over gravel), crank is so easy to turn and winds that hose up with very little effort. Basket is nice and conveniently holds the hose end. I bought this for the house but my farmer stole it for spraying off his equipment. And so, now we have two. Very reasonably priced - would have paid more - it's that good.

This is a very sturdy cart…perfect for my garden. Shipping was fast. It came in pieces that have to be assembled but it was no trouble for my husband. I wish the wheel locked into place because the hose tries to unwind; but overall, I am very pleased.

Very sturdy, but has two flaws. First, the tires need brakes; because they roll really well, it is hard to reel in or out the hose without putting something under the tires (which are plastic, by the way). Second, the pivot at the place where the reel meets the hose going to the faucet does not turn real well and several times I have had to screw the short hose back onto the reel after cranking the hose on or off the reel (this may work in over time and turn better). All this said, it is a very sturdy reel and well priced and I would buy again.

I gave this a 3 star because I think it can have a couple of re-design changes. 1- I think the wheels should be facing the same direction as the reel. The way they currently are positioned, it makes the cart take off when you walk away pulling the hose hitting things on the way. 2- it would be really nice if the wheels also had a locking break system. Kind of like how baby strollers have. So that when you pull the hose, the cart doesn’t move. Other than these two issues, it’s a good sturdy hose reel. BE AWARE that it does get rusted. I’ve had another one for 2 years and it is starting to rust.

The cart would be great if I could get the connector hose to stay on. We have used a wrench to try to get it tight so that it won't pop off. When you wind or unwind the hose from the cart the connector hose pops off. It is very frustrating. I have put a quick disconnect on it and I disconnect the hose from the cart every time I unwind or rewind it. Not real convenient!

We ordered 2 hose reels (cost of $99)each . One arrived with only 3 wheels. had to order another one and have that one picked up. after Husband assemble the reels, he discovered a major design flaw. When the hose going to the faucet is attached and you try to wind the hose on the reel, the hose attached to the faucet spins round and cuts off the water to the hose. My smart Husband designed a fix that so far works. my advice - DO NOT ORDER THIS HOSE REEL !!!!!! ALSO, AFTER ASKING SAMS TO HAVE ONE OF THE REELS PICKED UP - IT TOOK 5 PHONE CALLS TO SAMS CLUB AND 14 DAYS BEFORE THAT REEL WAS PICKED UP BY FEDX.

Despite plastic packing wrap etc., the contents of the box were not secure and my basket was dented. Although the box was very abused, it did not appear to be a returned product. The poor quality is evident with the angled supply tube. After a graceful 90 degree turn, the tube angles in toward the collection drum but it is kinked! Not only is the 90 degree turn a poor design but for this to be designed for larger hose sizes, all the internal connections are immediately reduced in diameter to 1/2 inch or less! And here is the worst part of the design: the leader hose does not stay fixed while the collection drum is rotated! The hose fitting is welded to the drum so all rotation gets transferred to the leader hose which will twist into a knot in both directions. The only solution is to buy a hose disconnect kit similar to air hose connectors to attach the leader hose to the unit. That will allow the hose to remain stationary while the hose reel is pulled or retracted. Next time I'll try a unit from Northern Tool and Equipment.

I am very disappointed in this product. It is very lightweight and flimsy. I so needed something to roll up my 3/4 inch hose, but it falls over when I try it.

I'd give it 0 Stars if I could. Connector hose disconnects every time you roll out the hose. Returning 2 of them. This newer version is missing an important piece from earlier versions, rendering this version completely useless.
