It does not take us much space on my desk, but it does perform quickly and with good printer quality. When you are a busy business owner you do not want your printer to give you the dreaded PC Load Letter and this does not. The instructions are pretty simple, you do not even have to read the enclosed instructions. Although they are included in a quick start guide. You just plug it up and go! We love it and now it is our go-to printer for the business.

The MFC-L2717DW works great as a USB-connected printer/copier, but needs better directions to set up Wifi printing. Unfortunately, the Scanner does not have AutoCrop (a basic feature in most other scanners), cannot scan double-sided, and cannot scan at 800dpi (only 600dpi/small file or 1200dpi/hugemongous file).

Item: Brother MFC0L2717DW - I received this product in exchanges for my unbiased opinion.Assembly/Setup: It was extremely easy to assemble and setup. The physical structure was extremely intuitive, and other than taking off tape and adding the ink, there wasn`t much left to do. It was basically already setup physically upon arrival. We use wireless printing, and setup was also a breeze. I used the online setup to install the drivers. The step by step process was easy and complete. I`ve had to set up printers before and generally screwed it up, but I didn`t this time! I am not technical yet was still able to complete easily on my own.Office Use: I can print seamlessly from my computer in my office to the printer. This is helpful as if one of the other printers is currently in use, I have this option. It has become my default. Specific Example of Use: Recently, we had a printing project of approximately 250 pages. The large capacity printer overheated and continued to jam, so I ended up using the Brother`s printer. It handled the printing job quite nicely. The only issue was the constant need to restock the paper and it is a bit slower than the bigger machine (which I would anticipate anyway).Printing Quality: In comparison to the larger capacity the when printing pages are clearer with more detail, but a bit lighter. When I copy, it is the same, but handwritten marks in blue ink were harder to read because it was lighter.Scanning Quality: The scanner is clear and in color. The application on the computer is really easy to use and save from. Once scanned the image is immediately on my computer if both the computer and printer are on the wifi.Price: My review of prices online seem to be on par which what I thought it would cost for a smaller use product.Continued Use: This will actually be coming home. I am excited to use it because it will allow me to work more seamlessly from home. In the past, I have had to have assistants remotely access documents to print, sign, scan and email for me. Now, I will have the ability to do so myself from home.

We just set this up today. It was the easiest set up I’ve ever done. Took just a few minutes and we are already printing stuff that comes out great. Very fast very crisp. It also scans a nice feature to have. Also a big shout out to Sams Club Rapid City. They always go above and beyond for the customer.

There is no delay once I hit print. It is quiet, quick, and efficient. My favorite feature is the print availability directly from my phone. There seemed to be very simple set up instructions, but the photo was a little deceiving to me. It took a while to figure out where to install the print cartridge. Once I realized where I was to install it, the actual process was very simple. It took me about 15 minutes but should have only taken seconds. The rest of the quick set up guide makes installation very simple. The disc installation and connecting to my wi-fi was very simple and took an average amount of time. Getting the app on my phone for mobile print was a quick download and very easy set up. The ease of printing is great compared to my previous printer. Almost every document would sit in a que and take forever to print. The Brother MFC-L2717DW seems to send the info and instant prints, you don`t hear the typical image transfer to the print head to finally print on the paper. My only complaint is the drum unit/toner is very large. It would be nice if it was smaller in size. I would also like if this model also printed in color. The buttons are easy to use, but look a tad outdated, a more modern look would be a bit more impressive. Besides the look the actual function and reliability of the printer and scanner I highly recommend.

This is my second Brother printer. I got it because I was tired of replacing liquid ink cartridges every other week. The toner cartridge generally lasts me for several months, so no maintenance. I switched out my old printer because I wanted some of the newer tech. It's a little easier to connect to internet and works better with my wife's chromebook. So I gave my old printer to my son and his wife who is an english teacher. So the old one still works fine.

Great printer. My second Brother printer. Would not buy another Brand. This new one replaced one I had for many years. I had friend to help install and took about 10 -15 min including set up. You do not need to use the CD that came with it. I wished I had watched person installing so I could give you hints but suggest you call Brother if not sure. I set up on Ethernet instead of wireless as my computer/router very close. I can print from my iPad and iPhone easily by using WiFi but I keep my computer turned on when doing this. The duplex works great, it scans and copies well. I do not fax so cannot attest to that. Not had paper jam (and hardly ever on previous Brother printer). Using laser printer (black and white) saves so much money compared to using ink jets. I do not need color printer for my work.

This was my first purchase of a Brother product. I was a solid HP user. I did my research before the purchase. I knew it would only print in black & white do to my research. It has met and exceeded the manufacturers claims. It was easy to install, wirelessly. It does have more functions than I was expecting. I have had it about a month, and after getting used to a new way of doing things, it has worked great! My only problem in 30 days? One paper jam when using the top scan out of about 100 uses. I do not regret my purchase, and have recommended it to others.

This is a good product. It's easy to set up and works as promised. One note: Brother guides to using this wirelessly. We prefer having the printer connected directly to our laptop, and the cable is not provided by Brother. Fortunately, we kept the cable used with our previous printer and use that to connect. All said, we're happy with this Brother B&W printer, especially the install ease and durability of the printer cartridge.

This Brother is a re-design of its first (second?) generation multi-function printer/copier. It is a great medium-size machine for a small office, allowing wireless sharing for multiple users on the same network. It gets out a quick first page and has quiet output. The setup was easy too. The main paper tray holds nearly a ream of paper, and the toner cartridge has a large capacity. On the negative side the envelope feeder isn't so great, so I'll be trying out a couple different envelope types to try to get fewer jams, or switching over to labels to get mailings out. Overall, for the price it can't be beat. PS. Our last Brother MFC lasted 6 years of constant use. Outstanding durability.
