I bought one to make tender roast beef it turned out amazing. I recommend slow and low I brought the temp to 200* on 250 for many hours! it was excellent. I put beef broth 1/4 of the way up the roast after searing in a hot pan.

I slow cook my roast for 5-7 hrs depending on the weight but my family & Friends say its the best they have had. pre-seasoned and marinated over night with adobo, next day add a serving spoon or 2 of sofrito, and 1 can of tomato sauce and several garlic cloves peeled and smashed in mortar. It is so tender and juicy. Add potatoes & carrots a coupe hours before its cooked and you have a great meal!!
