I love that this gate is secure and tall. It also has a design that is difficult to climb. We had a cheaper wooden one in the hallway and it was shorter and my son can climb right over it. I also love that it is metal so it is more sturdy and the walk through gate is a great feature for my elderly relatives. Only down side is you have to drill holes in the wall but that is so easy to fix.

Basically it's a pretty good product. It is easy to open with one hand, but can be locked so that young hands can't open it. However, the wide span (which is perfect for large openings), is pretty flimsy when extended to it's full width. The entire span will sway and give when any type of pressure is placed on it. It just doesn't feel very strong at all.

I love the concept of this gate but the pressure mounts dont hold it well and they dont stay tight and slide off door frame the “harware” kit is just little cups you screw in to put the pressure mounts in. But not sure how that will work seeing they dont stay tight. Wish it came with an actual kit to attach the gate to the walls not just put the pressure mount in

I bought this gate to keep my puppy in the kitchen when we went out. Unfortunately the puppy was too little and the gaps were too big. I looked all over for something that had the walk through door (making it easier to get in & out) but had smaller gaps, needless to say I could not! I managed to fix the problem with some cardboard until the puppy get a little bigger! I highly recommend this gate, weather it be for a puppy or a child.

The gate fit my 52" opening which was not exactly straight across. The gate was fairly easy to put together. It is very strong and small kid proof. There is a 1.5" threshold to step over on the floor. The gate opening is 16" and might require a larger person to go through sideways.

This gate and extensions far exceeded my expectations. It is extremely easy to install (and no nails or screws in the wall) and is very, very high quality. It's also so easy for an adult to open and walk through, but not your toddler. It would also work well for your pet. Highly recommend. Btw - had it shipped to my home and it came very quickly with regular shipping - about 4 days.

I was searching for a solution to block the stairway in my rental. This arrived on time and looks just like the picture. Installation was easy- basically snap in and turn the knobs! It took me about 15 minutes to install! I only needed to use one on the extensions and storing the others. The gate is sturdy and no holes in the wall! I purchased this so my senior medium sized dog would not hurt herself going up and down the stairs. I have had it for over a week and it does not get heavy usage, it is working wonderfully! Definitely recommend! I tried uploading pictures but keep getting a time limit exceeded?..

Once in place it is easy to knock it out of sink since it does not all lock together but simply sits inside each piece. It would work better if it's screwed to the walls only. If kids or pets lean on it, it can come apart. I bought it for a puppy gate. For that it worked ok. It's flimsy.

You can pressure mount this gate or wall install. The pressure mount holds well unless you have a child that likes to pull and push on it. It might be able to be moved with enough force. If this is the case use the wall mount. It will stay in place. Easy to open one handed. Tall for older children.

This was my second Regalo Gate. I had bought a smaller one for the bottom of my stairs. I had tried a number of other gates but had to take them back, as the bottom has high base board and the tension gates would not work. It worked great so I decided to try a bigger gate for the larger area going into my basement. It too, works great. They open easy so you do not have to try and walk over, like you have to do with some other gates. I would recommend this gate.
