Great!

I actually got this because of my puppy and it was the Best purchase I could have made. This is so much better then having to go over those other gates or having to take them off when you need to get out of that room. Plus with the other gates my puppy would charge at it and knock it right out.

Life saver!

We bought this to cover a large space of the entry into our kitchen. We wanted a pressure gate to avoid drilling into the bottom cupboards. This one fits perfectly and is a reasonable price. We can operate the door one handed after a little practice, which is a must. The doorway is a little narrow to walk through, but we got used to it. It's also annoying to have to walk over the bottom bar, but you will have that problem with any pressure mounted gate with a door. We also have to be very careful to avoid pinching our child's fingers when we close the door. He's often nearby and there's lots of places to pinch a finger. Overall, great product!

Excellent gate

I have had several baby gates over the years, but this time I needed one to fit a 53 inch space. Most stores only sold the basic gate, then you had to buy extensions separately. I found this easily on walmart. com. It arrived quickly and was very affordable. I was impressed with the quality and the ease of installation. My 15 year old son assembled it by himself. I love that it has the walk through. We are using it to block our golden retriever from a room. Very sturdy and would highly recommend.

great pet gate

We had been using other items to keep the dogs in one area of the house. Saw these and had to try them. Work great we go two and one has a small door for the cats to get through. very nice. No more moving stuff out of the way, we just just the door. Should have thought of it a year ago. I do recommend using some good wall protectors. I made the gate tight to walls, so I bought the protectors the day after for piece of mind.

Good gate

Gate was easy to install. The only complaint is the bottom bows one direction when installed due to the pressure. It would also be nice if it was auto close, but I guess I can't complain due to the price. It was the best price I could find for a gate that covered a 58" entry.

Wide Span Gate

We bought this specifically for the fact that we needed two for across our hallway and into our kitchen, which are wider than normal spaces. I read the reviews about how easy it was to install and how great a product was and decided to give it a shot. It was easy to assemble and it was easy to install. My only issue is that when you use all the extensions given to span the space you need spanned, the gate isn't as sturdy as I'd like. I have it as tight as I can get it and when you grab it and shake it, it moves a little. For now our daughter is only 10.5 months old so she doesn't have a lot of tugging power behind her but as she gets older, I am not sure if her yanking on it, trying to figure it out, will make it come down or not. :/ We might have to zip tie the joints between the extensions together to give it some added strength.

Not so sturdy

I purchased 2 of them, one with 2 extensions and the other with 3 extensions. While everything about the product is good, the gate with 3 extensions does not seem to align straight and sturdy. No issues so far but I have to see how it holds up against my toddler in the next few months..

Not sturdy, gate doesn't latch well!

This gate is so unstable and shakey. My ten month old daughter stands up and shakes it and it looks like its about to fall over. The latch on the gate is also very unreliable. It can be tightened as tight as you can possibly get it and look secure but just jiggle it a little and it comes open. The only reason I am keeping this gate is because I have a very wide opening in my kitchen and it took me quite a while to find a pressure mount gate big enough to fit the space.

Not the best walk through gate

I bought a pair of these due to the available expanded span. Wished I hadn't. While quite usable, the latching mechanism is more difficult than others to use one-handed. Also noted, when assembled at its fullest extent it does not have enough rigidity to stay straight so the door has to be lifted up as it rests on the bottom rail. For the same price I found a much better gate that makes this one seem a waste. Oh, and if you use this primarily as a pet gate like I do, a dog under 5 pounds will walk through the unevenly spaced bars.
