works as well as everyone says it does, I would buy again. I put a piece foam used for insulating pipes over the metal at bottom because I did trip over it a couple times (it will hurt your foot, same as when you stub a toe!) till I automatically started lifting my foot a little higher (muscle memory) when I walk through.

The baby gate is working well and varry durable. I would have liked to see a better latch maybe spring loaded to make it easier to open. Also do to the length of my opening of 55in I head to add a center bracelet to the flower to keep it from bowing. But all in all I would recommend this to anyone!

I was very impressed with this extra wide gate with 3 extensions. Where I am using it, I needed all three extensions, but once it was put up - it fit nicely and I never attached the cups on the walls. The tension adjusted so that it fit very securely. I like the gate, which was larger than I expected, and worked out very nicely. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a sturdy gate at a reasonable price.

I finally ordered this because the everyday essential has been out of stock. I thought regalo was a name brand and would be better but it doesn't seem secure due to the extensions making the gate wider and it not being the gate itself, it appears to be a standard gate with 3 extensions. Also it is not "easy step through" because there is a lever at the bottom that you need to adjust to open and then re-secure the gate so you have to bend down or move it with your toes which takes some concentration. I'm a bit confused with it doesn't just swing shut like some other gates. I have the other brand in a smaller size and it just clips closed and opens in both directions, while this brand just opens one way and you have to do the lever with your foot. I find this very annoying and its no very secure so only giving it 2 stars

I am using this gate to cover a fairly wide door between the living room and kitchen to restrict my two medium sized dogs. The gate has the width to cover the opening but this gate is not stable once it has been installed and the dogs can and have pushed against it and gotten it to flex enough to eventually get it to fall. I previously had a smilar length (slightly more expensive and much better looking!) wooden gate and it was much more solid and stable. It felt much less flimsy. I would still be using that except one of our dogs is a chewer and chewed through a couple of the wooden bars (so much for looking good!). This problem caused my desire for a metal gate since I figured it should be chew proof! On its own this gate is not stable or sturdy enough to do the job! I have little confidence in it! I am using the chwed gate and various other things to try to "stabilize" the gate and keep it standing so it can be used but I have been very disappointed with this gate. The "length extenders" on this gate when installed have too much flex as compared to the other gate I had and this is what is allowing the gate to flex when pushed even a little. I would not recommend this gate! It seems to me that even a child might be able to push it over!

works great for my two dogs, a 13lb poodle and a 6lb pom. The pom can't get through the bars which was initially a concern. He tried the first time got stuck and instead of barreling through retreated and hasn't tried since. I don't bother with the pin locking mechanism just pushing the handle down prevents the door from moving. The walkway portion is a bit tight but it becomes second nature to sort of sidewalk your way through it so no biggie. I used all 3 pieces for the longest length possible and haven't had any issue. Setup was a breeze. 5 minutes, no tools required.

Great gate. We use it to keep our dogs (or the ones we dog sit) on the large the porch (lots of wilderness around). Fits the threshold of our porch perfectly. The 4 pressure points allow a lot of freedom when setting up so you can make sure the gate is going to be securely fastened once all screws are tightened. The house is old and isnt uniform so the adjustability feature was great for making the gate fit our un-perfect house perfectly. Only down side was that one of the bolts wouldnt fit into the hole it was supposed to, so I got some pliers and bent the bolt to fit. Wasnt a big deal. Definitely recommend this product.

Ordered an extra wide gate w/ 3 extensions and was charged for that. However, item received was not the correct one and after not being able to resolve this thru customer service on the website, had to repackage what was received and returned it to an area store. Definitely not an enjoyable experience!

I bought this gate for a 56 inch space between kitchen cabinets.. It came up about 3 inches to short with the extensions added on. The end caps that screw to expand were at the Max extension. That made it a little unstable. Had to modify with cut two by fours . Its now wide enough and stable. It looks nice and does the job. I Do wish you could buy more extensions. A 2 Or 3 inch extension would help.

I'm using this to keep my dog out of our dining room. It was a little challenging for me to apply enough pressure so the latch would become engaged correctly but my husband was able to do it immediately.
