Bought this gate to put at the top of a very wide staircase. The measurements were well within the manufactures parameters. I tried installing the gate three times and all three the gate would bow either in or out as it got tightened up. Basically, I was unable to safely install this gate in full width mode. I only purchased the gate because of the width, therefore it will be returned.

This gate is perfect. I needed a extra wide gate making it a challenge to find one at a retail store or even on-line. Among the gates I did find, this was the best for the price. It was exactly what I was looking for. It will take two people to set it up, however it was easy and had it up within ten minutes. I would recommend this product to anyone and would purchase it again if I had a need. If you haven't ever used the Walmart order on-line program, it is easy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was very easy to assemble, which only took about 5 maybe 10 minutes. Very sturdy and doesn't wobble like some of the plastic/wood gates. I also love that the door opens both ways inward and outward. Overall I am very happy and definitely recommend especially for the price compared to others on the market this is definitely a must have with little ones or pets. Whatever your preference!

I bought this walk-thru gate to keep my dogs out of my bathroom. yes, my bathroom has a door, but we are reconstructing bathroom and door is not set correctly yet, so it does not close all the way. so my dogs think it is the place to potty when I don't let them out on time. now, gate stops them. thanks

The directions said that there is supposed to be a gap in the door but the gap would close upon installation so that the door locks. Well, I put it together and the gap didn't close all the way so the door wouldn't stay closed. It took quite awhile and I had to tighten the gate quite a bit but the gap finally closed. It was trickier to install than I had anticipated and I almost took it back because I thought it wasn't right.

This gate was a little more complicated to put together and install than our other one and it also only swings one way which I don’t like. It can be opened with one hand but it’s tricky.

This gate came with extensions or expands from 29 inches to 56 inches and stands 30 inches tall! I am in love with the door feature makes it so much easier to come in out of the room and to keep the three kids off the stairs! It is made with metal so it makes it sturdy and is pressure pushed against the wall instead of using screws! Easy to install and take apart! Absolutely love this!

Got two. Easy to install. We did not need to drill anything which is a winner for someone who is drill- phobic lol. Seems very secure. Big brother and sister got the hang of it quickly. Yet too hard for baby to do. Prob won’t be able to till he’s three. Finally peace of mind. If you’re a parent with stairs you know what I mean.

I purchase this brand because I have another one (only bigger). I was disappointed with the locking mechanism on this gate being plastic and too easy to open. My larger gate has a metal latch and is much sturdier. Disappointed and hoping the lock holds up :(

The gate looks very nice when in place. It is quite capable of keeping our dogs in one section of the house. We will soon have a new little baby boy, so when he gets old enough to navigate on his own, the gate can help to keep him out of danger when we need to work in the kitchen. The gate's "door" is a plus because my pregnant wife can easily open it to go to another room. This gate is perfect for wider doorways.
