I admit it was a little expensive,, but by far the best gate. I had an oversized hallway to block off to keep my child who is two , out of my kitchen. I've bought and used other gates at other times and would have used one of the others again, but none of the others expanded as wide as I needed. I found this one and was very skeptical thinking it would be flimsy due to the distance. I was wrong,, it is very sturdy and I've actually caught her more than once trying to climb it, it never once fell over. The latch mechanism is the best I've seen on a gate so far, very solid also. Way too tricky for a 2 year old to figure out, but not too complicated that a 4 year old couldn't work it without difficulty. As my boy had no problems learning how, i think He learned how after 2 tries. All in all, if you have a larger than normal area to secure off and have the money available, buy this one ! You will not regret it.

Bought this gate in April 2019 and it lasted until June 2019. our toddler figured out how to open the gate pretty quickly without it being completely latched down, so that extra click down is a must (he was 16-18 months during the time of use). It was a really good gate for keeping him and the dog out of the kitchen, until he was slamming the gate door really hard one day, and it broke the spot-weld at the bottom of the gate, rendering it useless. I think if the gate rails had a better brace at the bottom, instead of just spot-welding, it would have held up much long. But because of this design flaw, I give it a 3 star rating. I had ordered the gate online and had it shipped to my house. We only got to use it 7 weeks, I no longer had the box. I went through the Walmart app and did a return thru store option, taped everything up with all the pieces, and was able to get a full return at the store. Yay Walmart!

We bought this gate to block off our kitchen to keep our puppies in there when we aren’t home. We had to put cardboard across the entire thing, because the bars are so far apart our puppies could squeeze right through. I was very disappointed in the fact the item came dented and bent too, but we didn’t return or exchange it because we needed a gate right away. Once we put the cardboard across it the gate serves its purpose.

This item I ordered like two weeks ago still not here so I cannot rate this yet I still have about another week until it's here. Normally when we order if this site we wait about a week but it's usually worth it. Unless it's something we really really need like this item we could have used about a month ago!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This gate is very nice it took us about 20 min to assemble the color does good with the porch and we can easily take it down and put it anywhere we want if the gate is not in use I suggest keeping it somewhere out of reach of children because my son pulled it over on his toe and he is probably gonna loose his toenail the gate is heavy Overall it’s a great product and I recommend it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a very wide opening into our hallway from our living room. We were having a lot of issues with our little one running towards and climbing up the stairs. This gate fits the wide opening without damaging our walls and has kept our very active little one away from the stairs. It's easy to open with one hand which is really nice too!

Now maybe it's just me, but I felt like the description of the gate saying it ranged from 29.5" to 58" wide and it includes: 4", 6" and 12 meant that the gate itself had the ability to go from 29.5" to 58" and then they had the extra extensions to add more width(not the case. ). It was probably about 3 inches too short. It seemed like a nice gate if it had fit but so much for it being "extra" wide. pretty disappointed because I really needed it and it was expensive. Ordered a new bigger gate so hopefully that works out.

The Gate is sturdy but the latch does not hook up properly despite what the instructions say. I have to use a latch of my own to lock it. the instructions are not as clear as they could be so I had to fumble around and figure it out by looking at the pieces to put it together. It would rate a 5 if the latch worked, and it's heavy duty material so it works to hold in large animals and toddlers.

The area where I installed the gate is 54 inches. It was extremely hard getting the gate into that area. I had to use all 3 extentions which were wider than the area. The gate's door has a gap which is fixed once the gate is adjusted. I had to squeeze the gate into the area where I needed the gate which scratched the wall's paint off. I adjusted it to make the door gap disappear and even though its adjusted to the maximum capability, the gate can be pushed forward and backwards. I'm using the gate to keep my puppy out of the living room when needed. He is not able to push the gate where it dislocates but I believe if the gate was being used for a child, the child would be able to push the gate out of place. The door is a little hard to open, especially with one hand. I noticed one side is slightly curved, I am guessing it is due to me having to squeeze the gate into the area where I needed it. Overall, I do not regret purchasing even with the issues listed above.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This gate was a bit complicated to assemble, but was perfect for our use. We used this gate to block the play room from our living room, allowing us to easily see our daughter safely playing while preventing our dogs from getting to her toys.
