The decorating and the custom message looked good, but like in real life, it's not just about the looks. The cake is made with too much sugar and imitation vanilla which ends up giving it an almost caramel flavor when baking, but not in a good way. The chocolate or vanilla flavor of the marble sponge is overpowered because of this. The buttercream frosting is okay, however it is very thin and not whipped enough. The sugar shouldn't feel gritty when chewing. So much for a Happy Birthday…….the overall experience was below mid!

This was my 1st time ordering a cake from Sam´s Club. Hosted my brother and his wive´s baby shower. Ordered a marble whip cream half sheet. It was exactly how I ordered it and received it right on time I had it scheduled for pixk up. Our guests loved it, was moist and delicious. The price was a steal/bargain. I will definitely be orderimg again in the near future.

Beautiful cake that tasted great, too! There wasn’t much left cause everyone wanted to take some home. I was apprehensive about the marbling but everyone kept saying how that’s what made it great!

cake was very good tasting...fresh....The writing on the cake was uncentered and looked like a 5th grader wrote on it. I purchased it for my grandsons birthday and was very disappointed.

We ordered a graduation cake. The writing was very sloppy, not centered, and was going in an uphill direction. Very disappointed and honestly kind of embarrassed to even set it out on a table.

The cake was delicious and the photo design was exactly what we wanted and matched the photo we turned in. Loved the custom photo cake just wish we could submit the photo online.

The writing on the white cake was white! it blended in with the frosting so you can barely read it. I would've asked for someone to outline it with another color but the only person in the bakery when I arrived didnt speak English. She had to use a translator on her phone in order to understand that I was there for a pickup. she was super nice and found my order but I wasnt going to try to explain how you cant tell what was written on the cake using a translator on a phone.

The half-sheet cake I ordered online for my husband was created exactly to my specifications, was very attractive and very tasty. I received so many compliments on the deliciousness of the cake as well as on how well decorated it was. Sam's bakery department made me proud! And the price was almost half of what the same cake would have cost me at Publix bakery.

I ordered a birthday cake for my daughter who is a preschool teacher and her students wanted to surprise her. The cake was ready when they said it would be and it had exactly the wording I asked for. The cake was beautiful and the children loved it. (one suggestion: they truly need a counter in the bakery department when you go in and order)

You used to be able to truly customize every aspect of these cakes but now you can’t, since corporate changed their policies. You have to choose from 1 of 3 color combos they provide. You are better off going somewhere else and getting the design and colors you really want.
