The 5-star rating is for the cake only. As always, it was exactly what I ordered: moist, delicious, and a hit with everyone. Several guests asked where I got it because they enjoyed it so much. However, I have to mention the customer service experience. The woman at the bakery counter seemed bothered by our presence, and the person checking receipts wasn’t much friendlier. I’ve visited this club many times and have always had positive experiences, so this was disappointing. It’s the first time I’ve ever felt compelled to leave a negative comment about any staff member."

I loved being able to order this and pay online then have someone else pick it up. The cake looked great and tasted even better. Our guests were commenting on how good it was and were surprised to learn where it came from. Also....I was very pleased with the price. I'll order again when needed!

You guys really exceeded my expectations. Stephanie was the main rock star, who made sure that everything fell in place, since I live out of state and did everything online, but I was in constant contact with Stephanie who took care of my order, and it was perfect. Thank you for being professional and following thru with all details. It's really hard to find good employees like Stephanie any more. Please cherish and appreciate the gem you have in your presence. This cake was very very good. Everybody loved it and I’m so happy I brought it from Sam’s Club Bakery. They really made my husband’s birthday very special because the cake was for filled with all my expectations. I recommend this store for designing the cake as I wished.

It is very difficult to order “custom” cakes online. 1. Hard to figure out how, 2. Limited options to “customize”, 3. You don’t see a picture of what you’re getting in the end, 4. Emailed receipt looks like you are getting a white cake, 5 receipt doesn’t list the options you chose. It was so much faster and easier to fill out a form. The writing on the cake looked like it was done by a first grader. That was disappointing since the cake was for a large group. The cake itself tasted very good.

Cake wasn’t moist . And the icing tasted different from the regular butter cream icing. The writing design was tacky and I don’t like the way that I have to order online with my phone and all the character cakes are not on the website like the book at the store.

Ordered 2 cakes online a week before pickup scheduled. Cakes were not ready at pick up time and the order was incorrect. Very upsetting as this was for a church reception, however i will say one was extremely fresh and the wrong one i had to purchase from the shelf was not fresh.

I order my birthday cake on-line for a specific date and time. I was a little nervous about ordering the cake on-line, but they email the status of my order. Before I knew it they sent another notice letting me know the cake is ready. Oh Boy, that cake was so delicious. If God’s will, I will be buying all my birthday cakes from Sam’s.

Purchased the marble cake with buttercream frosting and customized decoration. The cake was moist and flavorful. The frosting was tasty and not too sweet. There were several choices to customize and personalize the cake which allowed for just the perfect wording for a very special birthday greeting. Generously served 25 guests.

Cake was dry and the writing looked like a 5 yr old wrote it. Had the text wrong and they tried to fix it but all they did was tried to wipe it off. I have ordered cakes and cupcakes from Sam's for over 20 years and they are usually really good. Online ordering is okay but no place to make notes or instructions. The restrictions on how it is decorated is sad as well.
