The cake itself was very good! However the writing on it said: “ happy retirement “. But some of the plastic decorations on the border said happy birthday. They were so small in the picture when I ordered it, I didn’t notice. You would think the person decorating would question it??

The taste of the cake was good. The issue was the decoration. It was for a birthday. Everything has to be requested online. It was just the name and a border with only two options for colors I believe. Not to have green purple and gold for football season is criminal. At least consider it for Mardi Gras. Before, I would go in and talk with the people there about what I’ve would like it to look like and it was always outstanding. I do about 7 of them each year for tailgating members. It was just very plain and disappointing. Please put people back in charge of things like this that should be more personalized. What is happening to y’all?

Now Sam's wants cake ordering done online or by their app and has drastically cut options for their customers. THIS IS A TERRIBLE IDEA! They have turned their backs on their customers without internet access/smartphones, especially older customers. For the rest of us, they now only offer a FEW options. My family and I are extremely disappointed. I WILL NOT BUY ANY MORE OF THESE CAKES UNTIL THEY BRING BACK IN-STORE ORDERING.

The half-sheet cake I ordered online for my husband was created exactly to my specifications, was very attractive and very tasty. I received so many compliments on the deliciousness of the cake as well as on how well decorated it was. Sam's bakery department made me proud! And the price was almost half of what the same cake would have cost me at Publix bakery.

Cake wasn't made to the specifications I ordered. I reached out to the store and no one has ever called me back. The first cake was wrong three months ago and now the second is wrong again. I am not sure why they use plastic boxes but the cake slid off at least 10 times so by the time I got to the party the entire side was smashed in. Guess it doesn't matter since they left off all the decorations anyway.

Been buying event cakes from Sams for a number of years. Easy to order on-line BUT allow for up to several days lead time to avoid disappointment on availability. They year after year they taste good which was not always the case from other vendors. Price - checked my 1/2 sheet cake vs. local high quality food store (local H*). Sams $19.95, H* was 39.95 so their cake is much more reasonable!!

I will not but another cake from Sam’s. The last few years our cakes have been messed up. This year it was so bad they gave it to us free because they couldn’t remake it in time. They didn’t have it decorated the way we ordered it. The icing they used for the writing was running all over the cake. The icing for the border was also running all over. The cake looked horrible and they were actually going to sell it like that. We didn’t realize it until we got in line to pay. We had to take it to the service desk. They were going to have it remade but of course there was no decorator there at 1:00. They ended up just giving us the cake. We ended up throwing the majority of it away because it didn’t even taste good. I wish I could say this was the first time we’ve had issues with their cakes but this has happened the last several years, but this will be the absolute last time never again.

I am very disappointed that you can no longer order cakes or cupcakes in the store. Ordering online, you cannot customize the way you used to be able to and it is not very user-friendly. For what we pay for memberships, this lack of customer service and lack of human contact is unacceptable. This service needs to at least provide an option to order in person in the store.

I had paid for the cake and couldn’t pick it up because I had death in my family. I called the bakery and they basically said that I couldn’t do anything about but call a number that she didn’t know. I didn’t get a cake or a refund for purchasing it.

It was ok, the new way of ordering doesn’t allow for much creativity and customization. Also, picked a pick up of 4:30. We arrived and was told there was no one to give it to us until 5:00, as they were all on a break. In the past Sam’s was our go to for the bakery, but not now. They are going to have to work with people to earn our trust again.
