They changed something, this fish is NOT the same

Apparently they get this fish from a different supplier, not even sure it's Cod anymore. The appearance alone changed quite a bit, MUCH smaller pieces and cut in strips, nothing like the picture on the box anymore. The taste was NOT good, it was like eating a piece of sponge! I know we having supply chain issues but that's NO excuse for giving people crappy food AND it had less n the box and the price has increased....of course.

What happened to the COD?

The new COD is TERRIBLE! My family loved the old COD, when grandkids knew I making it for dinner they came running! They do not like the new old and wants to know what Meme did to the fish! We would eat the old version at 3 to 4 times a month if not more. Please go back to the old version it was so much better than the new one!

These SUCK!!!

For years, we bought beer-battered cod from Sam's (the older 2.5 lb box) because it was an excellent frozen fish product. We had this for dinner at least once/week. Well, this disappeared from our local warehouses about 2 years ago, and their " replacement" product is absolutely horrible. The coating is far too thin, falls off easily during baking, and is relatively tasteless. The previous beer-battered cod was 1000% better. PLEASE bring back the older beer-battered cod. (Makes one wonder if Sam's actually reads any of these reviews).

Used to be wonderful, now not nearly as good

We used to love these when we bought them in the original packaging shown (red box). However, in the most recent box we got (white box), the fish was far more oily, did not taste as good, and the breading was soggier and seemed wrong. The previous product of the same name was restaurant quality. It made you want to eat more. This is tolerable.

Best store quality I have tried.

I have tried so many frozen fish fillets and by far this is the best. It borders restuarant quality. I baked mine but the next dinner I might try the also recommended deep fry method. Why spend $20-$25 for a meal in a restuarant when I can cook at home for less than $4.00 for the meal.

Beer battered for the best fish-and-chips!

Battered cot filets that go great with wine vinegar in a fish-and-chips style or even between two slices of brioche with mayo or yumyum sauce for a tasty fish sandwich. Beer-batter style breading clings to flaky cod flesh and makes for a great vehicle for ketchup or tartar sauce or even Malt vinegar in the British style! The breading clings better to the fish than most fish-stick-style baked fish. Bake your fries first and then follow the box directions for these cod filets, you won't have to guess on the timing for your fish and chips!

price increase and quality decrease.

The Members Mark cod fillets used to be fairly good sized but recently purchased some and they look like a goldfish fillet-about 4 inches long! Very disappointed but it’s just like so many other products... the price goes up and the quality goes down!

Does not disappoint. real fish filet, NOT pieces and parts. If you like beer battered cod, this is delicious in an airfryer. Just needs a few more minutes then stated to bring it up to temp. Add french fries and coleslaw and you can get 5-6 meals for the price of one restaurant fish and chips.

Fantastic

These little cod filets are great in the air fryer. They have just the right amount of crispness without being too oily. I have only had with rice and tartar sauce, but I bet they would be good as a fish sandwich. You would need at least 2 filets to make the sandwich and they are a little smaller.
