5 STAR GOOD EATS!!!

Wowsers...Absolutely some of the BEST beer battered cod that I have had since I used to go to the friday night fish frys in the midwest!!! I am extremely satisfied with this product and I hope they keep it around yearly and not just for the lenten season!!! I definitely will purchase this again and again and again!!!

price increase and quality decrease.

The Members Mark cod fillets used to be fairly good sized but recently purchased some and they look like a goldfish fillet-about 4 inches long! Very disappointed but it’s just like so many other products... the price goes up and the quality goes down!

Something fishy going on here

I bought this item about 3 weeks ago but it came in a white box. My first batch was cooked in my airfryer under the recommended time and heat settings on the box. 2nd batch was in the air fryer again in the bake/roast setting (higher temp,450) and much longer time. With both cooking methods the fish was soggy as heck, the batter was falling apart and coming off the fish and the fish was bland and tasteless. An absolute waste of money. You can also fry it in a deep fryer but I don't have one and I know it's not going to come out much different. One of the worst products I have ever gotten from Sam's Club.

Unpalatable and over salted

Ate this for years until about a year ago they changed this to be insanely oversalted to the point of being disgusting. Thought it was just one batch so I bought another one in a different state and same issue. Even a family member that eats way too salty complained about how bad it is.

Surprisingly darn tasty

I've had lots of fish and chips to include in London. I actually deep fried these using oil from the night before. They were very good. Served with lemon wedges and tartar sauce. Huge hit and the package fed five adults with one piece left over. Thinking about trying in the air fryer as that's obviously less messy than deep frying. If you need to scratch a fish and chips itch, grab a box.

Horrible

I have been purchasing this fish since Sam's mistakenly gave it to me over a year ago. My household loved this fish and my freezer was never void of this product. It was considered a quick meal when I didn't want to cook (add a veggie and you're set for dinner). But, a few weeks ago, I was not able to find the Beer Battered Cod fillets in the stores. However, a couple of weeks ago, it was back on the shelf. I bought two boxes and with each box, my family and I noticed remarkable changes. The fillets were not consistent in size and shape, as they were previously. There were some pieces that I would call, "nuggets," because they were so small. But most of all, the taste was not the same. There's something lacking and the fillets do not taste good at all. Whoever the producer of these filets are, should not put a substandard product in a box and expect people to continue to buy it. Sadly, I will not purchase this product again.

Cod has changed - For The Worse

I’ve been buying this product for more than 5 years. Suddenly, they had an extreme amount of salt to the product, making it not eatable. If they don’t correct the manufacturing problem, I will try Costco’s version. I wish there was someway to get a refund for this purchase.

Worth trying

I bought these as they were sampling them in March, 2022. They were really good and we had them for dinner a few times. I had forgotten about them until a few weeks ago and got them again. This time they were inconsistent sizes so they did not cook evenly. But the ones that were cooked were still very good.

Used to be wonderful, now not nearly as good

We used to love these when we bought them in the original packaging shown (red box). However, in the most recent box we got (white box), the fish was far more oily, did not taste as good, and the breading was soggier and seemed wrong. The previous product of the same name was restaurant quality. It made you want to eat more. This is tolerable.

Inconsistent Fillets

While the flavor is not bad, the texture and consistency are. I received two boxes that had nubs (nugget or smaller sized) for about a quarter of a box each. The normal consistency should be at least as long as my index finger, but there were quite a number of crust only ones in the boxes.
