This was a replacement for our 16yr old Samsung. Does the job and seems to be very efficient. It was hard, however, for wife and I to figure out how to use with provided quick start instructions and online manual; very broadbrush where more details desired.

Very happy with our new washer and the used LG gas dryer that we purchased when setting up our home.

The unit has started smelling of slight smoke when operating. First my spouse noticed and then I did. There is no interference with the rotation of the drum in either direction. On this item, we're taking a wait and see approach, which seems reasonable. The unit has 5 different wash temperature selections. Despite this, it's incapable of using the 100% hot feed water. I've checked the feed flow for hot (and cold). There's plenty of both. The hot feed is plenty hot, but the machine dilutes it with some cold. When I want hot sanitary wash for white clothes, by golly I want it to use 100% hot feed water. I don't want this lukewarm wishy-washy crap. The machine seems to be designed wrong, since it can't run hot, not even using the hottest selection on the machine's panel. It's a lousy design that needs immediate correction. Or it's not made to proper specifications. Either way it's marginal. LG needs to start long term work on this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this dryer for just over a month. It has performed as expected and the capacity is good for my needs. My old dryer had a light inside and I sometimes miss that feature when I am digging around for smaller items in the drum.

The owner’s manual is terrible. It doesn’t have all the necessary information. The control panel on the washer is not intuitive at all. I wanted to change the water temperature for a cycle I chose and didn’t have a clue how to do it. I had to go to YouTube to get the help I needed. The washing cycles are incredibly long. 93 minutes to wash one load! I don’t call that energy efficient. I wish now I had lurched a different brand of washer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I LOVE that all of the king bed sheets and blankets can be washed at the same time. Also, like that clothes are drying much faster in dryer because of how dry they are out of the washer. Laundry day goes by much quicker as a result.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are very pleased with our LG washer. Due to direct drive it runs quieter with less vibration than our former washing machine. I really appreciate the little door on the front that gives you easy access to the rise filter. No more removing the front of the machine or calling a repair person. In addition, the price is very reasonable. Little things like this make this machine my best choice.

Very simple controls, easy to use resulting in well washed clean smelling clothes. This machine uses very little water, and only a tablespoonful of HE detergent for a full wash load. So far, so good!

I’ve only used it a couple of times, but I’m very pleased with how easy it is to program the different functions. I like the large capacity making it great for comforters and large loads. I like the front load with regard to it’s efficiency-low water consumption.

This is the second LG Washer we purchased. The previous one we sold with our older home and it was 9 years old and running perfectly! Because of the great quality of this washer we wanted another one. The many features are awesome….so many choices of washing options! We highly recommend this product!
