[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first front loader I have purchased and I am really happy with it. It is easy to use, gets the clothes really clean, has a lot of different settings for different clothing types and level of dirtiness, is fairly quiet and is energy efficient. I would recommend this washer.

For the most part this is a great washing machine. My last front loading washer had a quick wash, plus you could add a second spin or second wash. This LG does not have any if these, I neglected to notice when I purchased this model. The only options are 58-62 minute cycles and no add-on spin or rinse cycles.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The machines are two weeks old and work as I need them to. Generally, I feel an appliance should make life go as expected so you can function. This does the job. I find the washing machine holds a little more than my previous machine so that towels a more moist when I pull them out of the washer. I don’t have this problem with other load types. I am frustrated with the buying process. The liability issues that arise if you purchase the pedestal after the the washers. I wish I were more impressed with the machine but I would be worse off without it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My last washer was 20 years old, and this washer is so much better. It is quiet, and does the thinking for me! I especially like the fact that I don't have to decide how much water to use, so I know I am using only the amount necessary based on the load size. I am very happy with this washer.

I bought this washer a month ago and I am disappointed. It’s loud and I can only do small loads for towels at a time or it blows a fuse and shuts off mid cycle and I have to start it over which takes another hour to wash the towels. When it spins it shakes the floor and the salesman never told me I have to drain it every time I do a load or risk it flooding.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is great. I know it was supposed to save water, but I actually saw a reduction in my water bill. It also spins so fast that the clothes are almost dry when removed so drying time is improved. Manual is not adequate though and attempting to alter a cycle seems to take a degree in computer science. The standard cycles are fine for most things but it is not intuitive to add an extra rinse or prewash. Manual should have more information on that. All in all though, even on the preset settings, it does a great job. Takes twice as long as my old one to wash, but the savings in water and probably drying time was worth the upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good product. It performs really well so far. Retailer slightly spoilt our experience, declined to install because we had PVC hose bibs. However, I installed it myself with help of a friend. I hope we did it well but LG directions were easy

I was so spoiled with my 23 yr old dryer & all the different settings, and time settings that I didn’t think I’d like this new one as well. To my surprise, I can do all the same things but much easier with less hassle! Just loving the shiny new baby & the washer too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this a few weeks ago and have really enjoyed it. It’s very easy to use once you get the hang of it, washes clothes very effectively, and then spins them out to the point where they’re almost dry. We couldn’t be happier!

The old LG front load with top controls had bearing problems. The tech advised it might be better to purchase new rather than repair. We purchased this WM3400CW that was "similiar" to the former LG but the the controls are at a low level, difficult to read, the detergent is loaded in a plastic drawer and the control options are more limited. Even at the high cost of repair it would have been a better decision to repair the former LG.
