Good Results with Less Detergent!
I needed to replace an old wash machine in my new home. Having previously owned an LG top load machine with good results and based on good reviews in my research, I decided on getting the LG WM3400CW front load wash machine. I have been using my new machine for just over a week. It is important to note that on my first large normal load, I discovered what appeared to be a 'leak' at the rear bottom of the machine (straight below the drain hose). After some research, I discovered this 'leak' can be the result of using too much detergent. I learned all you need to use for a front load washer is max 2 TBSP of HE liquid detergent for a large load and 1 TBSP for a small to medium load. Do not use your detergent cap as a guide! Since reducing the amount of detergent, I have not had any issues. Lesson learned, I am pleased with the wash machine - I like the fact it has many cycle options to customize my wash while it uses less water. I hope to use this wash machine for many years to come!

Both new machines seem to work beautifully. One month since purchase. We did find the instruction booklets fairly vague. Missing a description of dials and parts for example. But we figured them out.

Great, though cycle lengths aren’t apparent
After less than a week, the washer is great, it’s working as expected. Something we miss from our previous washer (also an LG) is knowing how long each cycle will take when you’re setting it - you don’t find out the length of time until after you’ve chosen a setting and it’s run for a couple of minutes. We’re still figuring out how to reduce the cleaning time.

I’ve only used the washer twice, but I am satisfied with my washer. There is one thing I would change, is that you would have the option to use cold water on the normal wash cycle. Set up was relatively easy and it only took me a few minutes to figure out how to use the washer after checking with the app manual for details.

White W/D color mismatch.
Purchased a washer/dryer in white, when they arrived the washer was a different shade of white compared to the dryer, very noticeable. Now we have to go thru all the inconvenience of replacing them, very annoying.

Not impressed so far
My previous LG washer lasted almost 20 years, however I am disappointed with this new model as i am already getting error codes on a machine that is less than 1 month old.
Doesn't get the Soap out
We purchased this washer about five months ago and ever since I have been getting skin rashes. We have had front load washers for 40 years, which was back before they became popular. So we know how to use them and have had lots of experience. We purchased this one because LG seems to have good product ratings. We only use "All Free and Clear" detergent, but noticed this washer doesn't get all the soap out. We even tried putting in less detergent than recommended and had the same issue. This washer is designed to save energy and water but we have to wash our cloths again several times without detergent just to get the soap out. We have even had to wash up to five times without detergent to get the soap out. We think this washer is not programmed properly to get the soap out. I would not recommend this model at all until they figure out what is going on.
