I like that it operates very quietly. One very go convenience feature is the coin/ lint trap are located behind a small door on the front of the machine. A very well thought out machine.

Had this washer for 1.5 months. Great Washers with Low Water/Power Usage. On the Speed Wash setting - quick (15 minutes) and only uses 4.6 gallons/load. We're in water restricted area in Northern Calif and this really helps out in meeting our restrictions.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Meant to be white glove installation. They used old hoses and when I turned water on both ends leaked. And they did not remove the shipping bolts. However machine is great. Quiet, uses a lot less water. Have to make sure after use you leave door open to dry out seal.

We purchased the LG WM3400CW washer because Consumer Reports tested and gave it top ratings. First impressions: every part of the machine appears to be carefully engineered with high-quality materials; the fit and finish are exemplary. Programmed wash cycles are well-thought-out with enough useful modifiers to handle any laundry situation. Having lived with top-load washers for decades, we were pleasantly surprised that our new washer uses a lot less water (and detergent) to do the same job without compromising cleaning efficiency. Also, this washer runs much quieter than our old top-load machine. We are very pleased with our new LG washer. You will have to visit LG's website to download the comprehensive operating manual. The manual shipped with the washer gives only a brief introduction to cycles and controls.

Medium speed spin just annihilates clothes...wringing them into a wrinkled mess. Have to set lowest spin speed every load, and still a mess. Other issues, too. I wish so much that I had kept my 15-year-old machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about 3 weeks ago and it does a great job on cleaning multiple loads of laundry per day. My only concern is that the detergent drawer and machine door feel rather light weight and "plastic-y." Only time will tell as to how well the door latch and the drawer will hold up to constant use.

So when it came time to replace that and the LG had a 4.5 tub and the price was really good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 10 month old LG washer malfunctioned (the pump went out) after 10 months and flooded part of my home! This happened two days after I had brand new carpeting installed in the two bedrooms! Luckily for me, my Angels arrived within 15 minutes with cleanup equipment and mitigated the loss to 10 yards of carpet pad and re-laying part of the flooring in the bathroom (W/D are in the hall bath) my W/D are still sitting in my living room after 2-1/2 weeks and my hardwood flooring is arriving this morning! it will be installed next week and I still don’t have a day for the LG serviceperson to come out!

I bought this a month ago from Lowe’s. I had problems with Lowes delivery but the product is very nice! Very nice! I moved into my condo 4 years ago and the washer and dryer I previously had was a Maytag combo they had left. It continually had problems until it finally crapped out. This is much nicer than I thought it would be!

The dryer works great. However, when it was installed, the installers did not check if the exhaust cross- section was big enough. This issue will not appear as a failure on the installation test. The dryer was consuming 2x as much gas as my 25 y.o. dryer. After thinking about it a bit, I removed our 47 year old exhaust vent and replaced it with a vent with a much larger cross-section. Problem fixed. LG should specify the minimum exhaust in the installation manual. I would estimate it to be 3.5-4 inches.
