Not sure about why there is a need for a drain hose in front; but it is easy to drain once a week. Pleased with the clothes cleaning. We have also had an LG dryer for several years that has been reliable and easy to use.

As I was having trouble getting clothes out of my present machine, which was getting older just like me, it was big one very deep for this old lady. But she had been a good one. He even bought me a grabber but have you ever tried to pick up a wet towel with a grabber. It wasn’t pretty. Got a front loader with pedestals and I love it. I don’t fall in any more when getting my clothes out.

This model had all the features we needed plus a bunch more. Now I am congratulating myself for making such a good choice. The washer is super quiet, cleans exceptionally well, and is easy to use. We are totally satisfied with our new LG washer and dryer too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I LOVE that all of the king bed sheets and blankets can be washed at the same time. Also, like that clothes are drying much faster in dryer because of how dry they are out of the washer. Laundry day goes by much quicker as a result.

I bought a new washer and new dryer at the same time. Although both are 'white', the shades are very different. Customer service explained that the dryer paint had to withstand higher temperatures, which makes sense. However, the washer should use the same paint so the two products match. Both units function well...but I wouldn't have purchased if I had known the dryer white wouldn't match the washer white.

Very happy with our new washer and the used LG gas dryer that we purchased when setting up our home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The basic functions of the machine are great. I was looking for a machine with an old style mechanical control setup. I guess that is no longer available. I still can't get some of the functions to work properly. MY biggest complaint would have to be, the end of wash alarm is not very loud. I read the instructions to indicate that it can be changed, I can't get it to change. I live front loading machines. No reaching down over the side of the machine to retrieve you wash load, it's right there where you can grab it. I also have the impression from years of washing very dirty clothing as I was an auto/truck mechanic that got really dirty, the front loading washer does a superior job of cleaning my wash.

Knew I would eventually want a stackable in that space and asked my local repairman what they considered the best stackable. This was at the top of their list. I miss the days of keep it super simple controls but think I have this one figured out now. It is beautiful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I cursed the day my 8-year-old LG top-loader wouldn't get any power to the motor. I'd had regular balance problems with that washer unless I had a very big load inside. So, I was somewhat reluctant to go with another LG washer. But reading reviews and comments, I decided on this basic front-loader. I'd never had a front load washer. Boy, am I glad I bought this one. So far, it's one of the best appliances that I have EVER purchased (and I'm 74!). First, it gets my wash far cleaner, far whiter than with any washer I've ever used. Second, it uses less detergent and less water. Ir runs a bit longer than a top loader, but it is very, very quiet. And, when I leave the door open to let the washer dry out, my garage is filled with an incredibly pleasant clean laundry fragrance. This is a wonderful washer. It is the low-end washer but it is high performance!
