I've been using my WM3400CW LG washer for the past year after thoroughly researching machines for my 2-person household. I was looking for environmental impact, price, ease of use and effectivity. I have been very pleased in all areas. Our water use has cut down with this model; it efficiently removes dirt with swift cycles and less detergent than we used to use; motor sound is fairly minimal--I hear it only as background noise from behind two closed doors; there aren't any unnecessary bells and whistles, and it was very well priced. Added bonus: my partner loves the sweet chime sound that indicates a finished cycle. As mentioned in several reviews (and true for most front-loaders), it's necessary to leave both the detergent drawer and loading door open after use to avoid mildew smells. I wipe down the door and usually leave it barely cracked open. I remove the detergent tray and store it upsidedown on a towel between uses. We haven't had to drain the machine as often as suggested. It's an easy process, we just haven't found much excess water stored inside. Load capacity overall is excellent; more than enough space for 2 adults. Great spin cycle even when washing sleeping bags or blankets. Thumbs up!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I moved into my house over 20 years ago, we inherited the washer and dryer left by the previous owners. Over the last year or so it was starting to become apparent that the dryer’s days were numbered. It would often take several cycles to dry an average size load. I’ve been using this new LG dryer for the past few weeks, and I have very little to complain about. There are plenty of drying cycles for just about everything. The capacity is more than sufficient for my wife and myself. The only complaint that I have so far is that the tone when the cycle is done is not very loud. Also I’m rather surprised that a light was not included. Despite this, I’m very happy with my decision to buy this dryer and I will likely get the matching washer when the time comes to replace it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I PURCHASED THIS WASHER, AND MATCHING DRYER -- A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO, AND IT TOOK ME A WHILE TO GET UP TO SPEED ON IT, BASED ON THE NEW TECHNOLOGY THAT IS OUT TODAY. MY OLD WASHER / DRYER PAIR -- WAS (16) YEARS OLD. I LIKE EVERYTHING ABOUT THE NEW WASHER, AS IT DOES THE JOB ON WASHING ALL OF MY CLOTHES, TOWELS, BEDDING, ETC. THE LITTLE JINGLE, AFTER THE CLOTHES ARE WASHED, FINALLY CAME ON -- AFTER ABOUT A MONTH OF USE. NOT SURE WHY IT TOOK SO LONG, BUT IT NOW WORKS WELL. I WOULD HIGHLY -- HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS WASHER TO ANYONE THAT WOULD HAVE AN INTEREST IN PURCHASING THIS MODEL.

We replaced a failing top-loader with an LG front-loader in our vacation home. We have had a similar LG at our primary home for over 10 years and love it! I have not been disappointed in the new washer; it is quiet and cleans very well—even muddy “dog” towels look great!

This is our 3rd LG front loader. We use our washer everyday and it is a work house. I love the washer. I just wish it had a higher RPM spin cycle and that it took less time to complete a wash cycle. Also of note and frustration is that the drain hose on this model is too short to reach our stand pipe (unlike the previous 2 models) so I had to find another drain hose and attach it after the delivery/installation was "complete."

This machine is so much better than any we have had—and we have had a bunch. The quietest of any of them. Super easy to use. Most importantly, it cleans our laundry by far the best. Very good value. And reliable. No issues during the two-plus years we have owned it.

I am happy with the size and what appears to be a well built machine. I am not happy with the poor instructions and confusing operating display. The instructions reference buttons that are not on my machine. I have been unable to date to figure out how increase drying time or raise the heat. It does dry the clothes but on occasion I have to run the machine a second time so it seems that the dry sensor isn't working just right.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wash loads are very difficult spin without being out of balance. "Smart Balance" feature does not appear to work. Machine is level on concrete surface and all instructions for loading clothes are followed. Machine frequently makes loud knocking noises when attempting to spin, and machine move several inches across the floor. I requested warranty service several months ago and have. Received an acknowledgement and then nothing more. I Wish I have never bought this machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced my last LG washer with this one. Only negative: length of wash cycle. regular wash 70minutes! Definitely longer than my older one. Speed wash 15min. I think it was 25 before. Makes more sense.
