The old LG front load with top controls had bearing problems. The tech advised it might be better to purchase new rather than repair. We purchased this WM3400CW that was "similiar" to the former LG but the the controls are at a low level, difficult to read, the detergent is loaded in a plastic drawer and the control options are more limited. Even at the high cost of repair it would have been a better decision to repair the former LG.

After delivery and set up we like our choice. Both the washer and dryer run great, Stacked well, no vibration and runs quite!

It is the first front loader and first LG appliance we’ve owned and we love it. Simple features which is just what we needed. Uses less water, clothes are clean, and takes less overall time than my previous top loading washer. Sure happy and saving up to buy the matching dryer!

I bought this machine a few months ago but had serious plumbing issues that were not related to the machine. As a result I could not use my new washer for about 1 1/2 months. I am now happily using it at least once a week. It is quiet, has lots of settings to care for all my different types of washables, and cleans very well. I highly recommend it.

Both machines handled a large comforter with ease which actually surprised me. I have also noticed I can use very little liquid detergent to get a clean wash. I will also add, these machines are very attractive. I LOVE my LG’s.

The washer does an excellent job of cleaning the clothes. Only issue is that the drum makes a high-pitched and loud squeak whenever the drum moves, which is often during a normal cycle. I have had a repair service look at it and of course the washer didn’t squeak when they were at the house so I recorded the sounds on the next load and plan to call repair again.

I did some research to compare just to be prudent but this LG washer could not be beat by the competition. It has all the cycles and options I wanted, is quiet and very efficient. I like that I can have a quick wash, or long wash depending on needs. I look like that I have a rinse and spin cycle. I highly recommend all LG products!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this product on October 14, 2020. My previous washer had broken down. My previous washer was an LG product and I had a good experience with it. My new purchase was installed promptly, with professional and courteous service.

Ordered washer/dryer pair and stacking bracket direct from LG. Price was same as 'big box' stores, plus no additional charge for delivery, setup, and haul away which was great. However, bracket delivered separate, and delivery/setup contractor would not install due to bracket not being included on their truck (company policy). Installation was relatively painless, but would have been ideal if I did not have to do it myself. Delivery contractors were quite friendly, and did leave the necessary hose connections. Washer and dryer are great. Huge capacity in a standard 27 inch width. Very quiet compared to my previous units (non-LG). The doors, hinges, and closures are all solid. Washer will 'final spin' the clothes well on 'Medium' setting. Also, the bottom of the washer tub slopes down towards the back so that water drains better and will hopefully reduce mildew buildup on the door gasket. This was an issue with my last front load washer. With the Dryer, I tried different drying temperatures and landed on the 'High' heat setting as my go-to for standard loads if I want to get drying completed within 50 to 90 minutes. That's fine. I figure medium and low heat will handle smaller, more delicate loads without excessive time or damage to the material. Overall, I really like this washer/dryer pair. They are a definite step up in quality and design from my old set. I'd recommend this LG set.

I bought this a tear and a half ago. After a year, it started leaking. This is my first front load machine so doing the monthly clean cycle was not something I ever had to do. But in the manual, it does say to run the clean cycle once a month. What it does is remove residue product from the tub and pull out detergent softener bleach tray..LG tech is still working on it. First visit they cleaned the drum and subsequently I have run the monthly clean cycle but it it is still leaking from the detergent I’ll out tray. They ordered a new tray on the second visit and we’ll see if that fixes it. So read the manual, run that clean cycle.
