The old LG front load with top controls had bearing problems. The tech advised it might be better to purchase new rather than repair. We purchased this WM3400CW that was "similiar" to the former LG but the the controls are at a low level, difficult to read, the detergent is loaded in a plastic drawer and the control options are more limited. Even at the high cost of repair it would have been a better decision to repair the former LG.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this wonderfully large capacity washer does a good job of doing what it is suppose to do--get clothes clean. The normal cycle is surprisingly long-92 minutes- so if you have several loads, it would take a very long time to do your laundry. I found that the quick cycle (15 minutes) is pretty darn good in a pinch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this is November. I had never considered a front loader until my daughter told me about the perks, especially not having to worry about it being out of balance. I bought an LG because I have a LG refridgerator 4 years ago and it's been great. The washer has great features. I like the safety lock feature and how easy it is to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this Washer and Pedestal in our home two weeks today. We have washed clothes 2 times during this period. Overall, at this point, we are pleased with the Washer. The initial cycle times are longer than expected, but actual cycle times appear to be shorter. It seems to be doing a good job of washing the clothes and spin cycles are good. So far, so good. Hope this washer will service us well for many years. Not negative comments at this time.

Bought in October 22, worked great for a month, then started stopped draining the drum completely. I always have to run an extra spin cycle for that to happen, so some loads can take 90 minutes to wash. It’s just my husband and me, so there isn’t large loads, but it still takes me all day to wash and dry 3-4 loads of wash! I wish I would have went with another brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We originally bought this model for a second home and purchased it again when our 20-year-old set finally gave up the ghost. It fits neatly into a relatively small space, is super quiet when operating, cleans clothes beautifully, and plays music when done. Hopefully it will be durable. We bought it about a month ago, no problems yet. We are happy w the purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this September 1, 2020; delivered September 30th. After a load of laundry on October 5 it shut off and would not power on. A repair visit told us the PCB had stopped working and we would need to replace it. The part was not available. LG offered us a partial refund.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this to replace our old washing machine. It has terrific features that are simple to use and is extremely energy efficient. This model and other LG models got exceptional Consumer Report reviews.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old LG washer PCU board was going bad after 14 years of use which made me unplug and plug back in to get it working. I bought this similar LG washer as a replacement. It works just as good and the controls are very similar. The only issue with the new one is it is noisy (tub bangs against the stops) before it is stabilized during the spin cycle. The manual says this is normal. However the old LG I had didn't do this.

My 8 yr old top loader wash machine was finally giving up. Thank goodness! I hated the washer from the first load of clothes. The LG was the savior. The clothes now smell and feel clean when they are done washing. The spin cycle spins the clothes almost dry. Less time in the dryer! The LG washer is the best thing I have bought in a long time!!!
