I recently bought my first front load washer after my old top load died a watery death. So far, its been an easy transition to a front load. Its easer for me to get into and pull laundry out of. I'm a breast cancer/chest surgery survivor and under 5 feet tall, so a front load washer is an absolute game changer. I'm really enjoying it so far. ;:)

I purchased and got my new machine all hooked up today. I ran a cycle of just water to start and it was SUPER loud. I put the couch blankets in and it started thumping even louder. I went in and the washer was in the middle if the laundry room and water was spraying everywhere because it pulled the hoses. I turned it off and was cleaning up the water when I noticed that it tore holes through the linoleum.

I’ve had this product for 3.5 years, just outside the warranty, and it’s now leaking from the bottom front where the tube drain is located. Machine is undamaged. I opened the little door to ensure the tube stopper was tightly sealed and clean, and I drain it every 6 months or so. I’m very disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our second front loader and our first direct drive. Which works better than the belt. Although some of the wash times are longer, it really cleans the clothes for the least amount of money. I really like the Cold Wash feature. It's longer time but it uses different agitation methods to give you a warm water result using cold water. There's plenty of room to wash our queen comforter - we found it best to use medium spin so it doesn't give an error code. So there is another positive, there's plenty of setting adjustments to make just about everything work for you.

Do not waste your money. It's a decent machine but just about 4 years of owning it and the motor is going, the selector dial has a short and won't let us change the cycle type until we can it to rattle around enough to reconnect. Lesson learned on buying appliances from electronics companies. We're going back to old reliable brands.

This is my first LG washer(I have used washers for over 60 years) and I love everything about it. My best friend was having trouble with her old washing machine, I had her bring a load of dirty cloths over . . .she was amazed how quiet the wash and spin cycle was and her cloths were so clean. She was very impressed. Thank you LG for making the best washing machine ever!!!!
