I bought the LG front load washer 5 months ago. Although it washes colors well, it does not achieve the listed "HOT" wash cycle though it's fed with plenty of really hot water. Apparently it's designed for energy saving by disabling any true HOT capability. Therefore, LG should not offer the choice of "HOT" selection, since it's deceitful and dishonest. The machine can only manage a lukewarm wash at best. I feel misled and duped by LG. If LG is desperate to use the "HOT" label, it should list the actual temperature of the wash, e.g. 105 F maximum. That way customers will know they'll never get the hot wash they truly want for their white clothes. Suggestion: LG could offer a "sanitary cycle" which would be truly hot.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this washer a month ago, and it washes well, but water backs up into the detergent drawer (mainly into the Softener compartment) after washing. I don't use softener, so why it fills up with water is a mystery. I have alerted the dealer about this problem, am waiting for help. Also, to switch from liquid to powder detergent, you have to lift out and remove the liquid compartment. This is a design flaw and inconvenient.

I am on a well, that has run dry in the past so water savings is critical.i called customer service and was told that the washer uses around 3 gallons in both the normal, and speed settings this is great for me. very quiet! iam please with the quality so far.

We bought the LG washer and dryer front loader about 1t months ago. My only issue was the lack of a "soak" setting until there was a crack in the washer tub. It'll be several hundred dollars, almost as much as the cost of a new washer, and no coverage after 1 year.

New house had deep top load washer didn’t clean well and kept refilling if it was an uneven load. The new LG uses less water and cleans much better.

It took an internet search to figure out what all of the cycles do, since the manual doesn't say a single word about them. I don't like that I have to set the soil level, temp. level, and spin speed every single time. The default settings do not work for me.

I have this product about three weeks now. I am happy with this dryer however I was a bit taken back that there was not a light inside the drum when you open up the door. I never thought to even look for that in an appliance as I’ve never had one that didn’t come with the light. Not a big game changer but I think if I had looked a little closer I might’ve got an a different model

Was able to manage an exchange for the top load to front load & it’s never let me down, unlike the top load did. This front load is an excellent machine! Full wash cycles, gets even the dirtiest, oiliest shop clothes clean; stained towels come out fresh & clean! Highly recommend this machine!
