Great gate. Bought it for my daughter and her family to keep the little one off the stairs yet allow the older 6 yo to pass through to his bedroom..............worked out great! Thank you. Oh and I do so love the whole pick up idea at the store. It was waiting right there for me as promised.

Our children are all grown but we have a 18 month old pug that if left alone he would wounder all through the hose and get into everything he should not so the two gates we bought were just the answer. After ordering the gates they arrived in only two days and were perfect.

I love it. I use it to keep my dogs in the tiled areas of my house. It took me 5 minutes to install. I was able to get it tight enough that I did not have to screw the brackets into the wall which is good I rent. I would use the brackets though if you are using for a small child. My dogs are all 5 to 15 lbs.

I like the gate, however it failed to keep my 3 1/2 year old grandson from figuring out how to use it. The minute we put it up he figured out how to open it. We needed something that would keep him out of the kitchen so he wouldn't get into the refrigerator and closets in kitchen.

Good gate.. easy to set up and also to unlock and open for parents. Unfortunately my 11 month old son learned how to unlock it, despite our efforts to hide it from him. Now, we are trying to figure out a way to keep him from opening the latch and going through it.. I'd give it 5 starsb8f it wasn't so easy for a baby to learn to open it.

I’ve only used old school gates you have to step over, so my review might not be the most reliable in the overall opinions of baby gates. That being said - this was a game changer for me. Being able to just walk through is so nice and helpful! It’s worth the $$ for that. The installation was EASY %26 I do put ALOT of things together - this was one of the easiest I’ve ever done. Looks wise it’s basic but definitely looks better than other gates I’ve used Functions great 👍 Pleased all the way around so 5/5

So we bought three(2 for us 1 for my parents) of these gates they came with the 6'' extension. We live in an apartment on first floor and my parents live on the 3rd floor. so the cups that you can screw in as an extra saftey measure are a must even tho the ones in our apartment dont lead to stairs i still put them in as a piece of mind. Dont get me wrong they dont need it, but its nice that you can if you want. I really liked the fact that other than the bottom part there is no place for the baby to pinch their fingers. Very solid gate easy to use/open for us and not for baby. Its such a nice change from the gates you have to step over im 6 1/2 months pregnant so stepping over or even bending while holding my 17month old to move the gate was a pain i can open this gate with one hand(with a little practice). Thanks walmart.

I researched and read reviews for different types of pressure gates that would be good on the stairs. We have an 18 month old and another on the way and I do not want them on or anywhere near the stairs in our house. We also have a dog what I would like upstairs with us at night and not running all over the house waking the baby up. So after researching I thought this was the best deal. The construction of the gate was very easy to understand but the instructions made it more confusing. Once assembled, it didn't really provide the stability I was looking for. My son came over and one yank it was off. I definitely will pay a little more money now for something more stable. If you are looking for something for less active children and pets this would be good but not for active children at all!

I bought this gate with the hopes of keeping my dog out of another room, however my 9 pound dog was able to squeeze through the space between the bars. Installation was very easy and it worked really well. I would recommend this gate to anyone other than someone who is trying to contain a small dog.

I have 2 dogs, one a Yorkie who is very small, the other about 20 lbs. This gate is wonderful for containing them. It was easy to install by myself, and works great! The dogs can see me and get air through the gate, but they haven't been able to push it down or go through it. I wish I had gotten this gate a long time ago. I now have two of them and I would recommend them to anyone who needs to contain a pet. I use them in my open kitchen so they are contained to only half of the kitchen which makes it easy for me to get into the fridge and get to the sink without going through the gate, even thought the gate is very easy to open.
