This gate was exactly what we were looking for. We have a 2 1/2 year old potty trainer who needs access to the bathroom and a mobile 8 month old who we need to keep out of the bathroom. This gate solved our problems. I set up this gate and taught our 2yr old how to use it in less than 5 minutes. The gate is super easy to open, even in the latched position, so if you want to keep out an older toddler, this is not the gate for you, but it meets our needs perfectly. It's also just the right height so that our cats can still jump over it to get to other parts of the house.

I purchased the gate to keep my cornish rex cats out of my daughters bedroom. We found out she is allergic to her beloved cats so we keep them out of her sleeping area because she cannot depart with them completely. The gate is great except our littlest cat is very small ( a runt) and he can slip through the bars just at the gate opening so my husband rigged the extra extension bar that came with it in the space and he can't get through now. Great item for the money. My daughter is 6 yrs old and has no trouble with the gate and it looks nice we got the white one.

I bought this because my 2 year old broke his second wooden gate, and I am not talking about the cheap wooden gates I am talking about the $45 ones. This one is nice because my son can kick it, climb it, not that he is allowed to do any of these things but he is 2. And it holds up fine. It is tall enough to keep my dogs in a different room also sturdy for when they jump up on it. And even though it is a pressure gate it always stays in place. Plus my husband and I find it easier to get in and out of because it opens on the top and not the side like our old ones did.

Babysitting our granddaughter has meant a considerable dollar investment to adapt our home for her safety. Like many others these days, we became grandparents later in life than expected and no longer feel safe trying to climb over a gate multiple times a day. This product met both needs, lower price and safe access. This gate is very easy to install, is adjustable for multiple opening sizes, has a closure that can be either easily opened with one hand or more securely locked for older children. All-in-all, I am more than pleased with this purchase.

For the people that can't fit it into a 36 inch space here is how to do it, you take the adjusting knobs off on one side only then put the screws in and then add the short extension, this way it is in tight with no room on the sides you just adjust it from 1 side and is very sturdy. I hope I explained that clearly lol

I had purchased this gate to replace the one my 1yr old would climb up because of the lattice type design. I first purchased an evenflo that said to be easy open, but it was not. So I decided to try this Regalo Easy Open and see if it was or not easy open. Its great!! We dont even lock it all the way because it has a close feature that closes without locking. I can easily open this with one hand (even when it is locked. The kids do manage to knock it down every once in a while but its so easy to put back up. ( I bought this gate to fit a 39" opening). Cons: opening could be a tad bigger, I would not reccommend this for a larger person (being pregnant i have to watch my belly. LOL), and only opens oneway, which is not terrible

The door on this gate swings both ways. As this is used at the top of a staircase which is used quite a bit this is beneficial. My only complaint is that the metal isn't as strong as I would have liked but my grandson has tried pulling on the gate and it does it's job.

Our infant daughter just started crawling, so we needed a gate for the 35" span at the top of a half-flight of stairs. This gate works great for our application, and the price can't be beat. Installation was easy. I would definitely buy this gate again.

Gate set up in minutes. It is very durable. It did not require any tools to set it up in a door way. I set it up for temporary use and it has not caused any damage to the door frame. My son isn't too fond of it when closed, but has figured out how to manuver over the bar that connects the gate at the bottom without tripping. The gate opening is a little narrow, but not too hard to get through.

This was a great investment for us. We own a bi-level house & a traditonal gate would have been a pain; but this baby gate has been great. It opens to let us through so we don't have to constantly mess with taking down & putting up a traditional baby gate. My older children have no problems using it & my son who is 13 months likes to close it if we forget & leave it open. I'm so glad I decided to order this site to store.
