I used to love the Black Diamond Private Reserve Cheddar Cheese, but the last couple of times that I've bought it, I noticed that the cheese contains very tiny, hard bits in it, sort of like you've chewed on little bits of hard calcium or something like that. It really leaves an unpleasant, grainy, mouth feel, like something you need to spit out. That's the only way I can describe it. If anyone else experiences this, please report on it as well. The cheese is not smooth at all, as it should be, and like it used to be. I don't think I will buy this anymore.

Growing up in Vermont and working in a cheese factory for 4 years very disappointed with the gritty taste and feeling of sand.

This is by far the best fine cheese I ever had. I get upset when Sam's is out of stock.
