From unboxing, assembly to short time usage I am quite pleased with this product. The packaging was robust enough to protect the generator during shipment. Assembly was straight forward, from installing the front feet to the rear wheels. Added gas and oil and it was off and running.

I had the Westinghouse 9500 for 2 and 1/2 years. I read the manual front to back at least three or four times just to make sure I understood it the best I could. The only thing I did not understand about it was the section about switching the neutral or ground or something based on whether it was a mobile home. I never did figure that out or understand it, but that's on me. I checked the oil as instructed and followed the maintenance schedule as well as possible. For the first two years whenever there was a power outage, I could easily go out, flip a switch start it up and run my whole house like the power never went out. For the last 6 months, it was providing the power for an RV, including the air conditioning unit, in extremely hot weather conditions up to 118° . I don't know what we would have done without it. Then winter came, and that was the beginning of the end. It began making a rattle sound, which I thought was just one of the leg nuts rattling off, it didn't sound really serious based on my limited experience.... The next day BOOM it exploded, not in a combustion and fire way, but in a gear thingy breaking in half, busting through the motor casing and spewing bearings and other miscellaneous parts on the ground beneath it. Was very impressive! But I still give this awesome generator of five star because it truly went above and beyond what any generator should ever be expected to endure! The remote start promoted my laziness and the reliability promoted my comfort level in potentially uncomfortable situations! Yes I will get another one!

Very recently purchased. Very easy setup. Attach wheels (no tools required), attach mounting feet (8mm wrench), pour in oil (provided), pour in gas, plug in battery (2 pin connector), open fuel valve, and press Electric Start or Remote Start button on fob to start. It really is that simple. The Remote Start fob is a super bonus. Came already paired. I told someone that I had bought a Westinghouse generator and he said his mother has had one for a few years and loved it. No issues. I'm sure I won't have any issues either. Very impressed. First high quality generator I have bought and the difference is very noticeable and well worth the extra money.

I just received the generator purchased after suffering with no power from Hurricane Beryl. It arrived almost 5-days early! I cannot wait to try it out. I rated it with 4 stars instead of 5 only because I have not used it yet. However, it has lots of features and seems to be made of great quality of materials. It's very heavy duty! Very nice.

Comes with a few features others do not. Also three ways to start, which all worked flawlessly. Have not powered the house yet, but checked output and it was as advertised. Needed slightly more engine oil than provided, but only a minor inconvenience. Overall i'm happy with the purchase. We'll see how long term works out.

Bought this proactively for the coming hurricane season. No more worries about living days Or weeks without power in 100 degree weather. This unit is large enough to run my central air conditioner and refrigerator and TV all at the same time! Peace of mind- we’ll be the envy of the neighborhood if it happens to us again .

Don't know what else you could ask for in a portable generator. Ordered on a Friday morning and received it Tuesday afternoon. Less than 3 working days. READ the instructions, put the oil in it, a couple gallons of gas, checked start up procedure, pushed the start button and it immediately started and purred like a kitten. Have another Westinghouse for 2 years with no issues. Great features. Excellent all the way around. Less than 15 minutes to uncrate and assemble feet and wheels.

After enduring hurricane Ian, I will never again worry about being without power for days at a time. My neighborhood electrician was able to easily set everything up so that we can use it when we need it. We did a test and found that it easily powered my a/c and other essential household items. I hope to never have to use this equipment, but know that I'll be in great shape if I need to at some point in the future.

Received this unit a.m. of August 29th. Late that afternoon wind and thunderstorms knocked power out. Wife and I uncreated, assembled, added oil, and gas. Started and ran perfectly. We used it for 10 hours before power came back on. Had electrician install 50 amp receptacle. Very pleased with unit. Sure it’ll get much more use.

I bought this a month ago, and haven't had to use it yet, but so far I like all of the features that it has. The remote seems nice so I wont have to go outside to start it. The buttons, levers, and control panel is nicely labeled so I can find everything.
