Unfortunately mine was defective. Did not work out of the box and I spent over an hour trying to seal my beef before finally giving up and putting it in the freezer without vacuum sealing. I used 4 bags, troubleshot the machine in every suggested way and was never able to get it to vacuum.

Like many others, I tried to download the instructions and register this product with FoodSaver, but was unable because it was not listed on their site. I spoke to their customer service and they happily registered the product for me (even though apparently you didn't need to) and emailed me a copy of the instructions. While it would be better if FoodSaver wasn't treating these units as second class, their support was friendly and emailed the instructions right away.

We purchased this item recently and love it. It is so easy to cut whatever size of bag you need, fill it and then seal it. We have been surprised how much we are using it. It is just my husband and I so when we buy meats it is so nice to size and be able to freeze the extra. It comes out of the package looking exactly like it did going in. Great buy.

I'm currently trying to use my product it didn't come with a user guide for some reason and the company doesn't even have this model as an option so you can't even register the thing and I use the QR code that was on the front of the machine. When I tried to communicate with the company they say they're having technical difficulties so you can't even correspond with them.

Replaced an old food saver that I loved. It was lost in a fire. This unit was okay at first, but does not seal very well, you have to manually seal it alot. The suction is very weak. It takes a few trys after making sure my bag is situated correctly. It is now faster and less stressful to use freezer ziplocks instead. My old unit was perfect, this one they cheaped out on. The bonus though is the handheld, it is awesome! If I could get a huge supply of the bags that go with, it would be a game changer.

My own fault for assuming and not looking closer; this box set gives you bags that use the handheld sealer and the hose, but NOT the handheld adapter itself. What use do the bags and hose do me without the handheld devise itself? The vacuum sealer itself has worked very well so far, hence the four stars.

I had to replace my old FoodSaver because the heat/seal element stopped working. I wanted the same brand because of the quality of my old one (Model V840). I will happy if this unit lasts as long as the old one did. I figure that it is a good value because of how it helps preserve & protect food after you open the original package.

Terrible terrible model of food saver-if you want to do a lot of anything in a timely manner do not purchase this model. Takes forever to seal-sucks and sucks and sucks and then you have to manually hit the seal button. I’m an intelligent person so this is not user error. If you’re a homesteader and put up a lot of food-avoid this like the plague. So disappointed in this purchase.

Great vacuum sealer, easy to use and had no issues with bags not sealing.

Unfortunately, it didn't work. It never powered on. It was returned.
