We had to return the first one received because we received a used item that wasn’t like the photo on the box it was very used and they also had put in some cans of food in the box . Whomever did that dishonest return I hope all comes to light. We called customer service and returned item and received new one in perfect condition.I opened it immediately this time to check it even tried it. Working in perfect condition. Thank you Sam’s for taking care of your loyal customers. Whomever is reading this make sure you open right away and check your items note to myself as well!

Replaced an old food saver that I loved. It was lost in a fire. This unit was okay at first, but does not seal very well, you have to manually seal it alot. The suction is very weak. It takes a few trys after making sure my bag is situated correctly. It is now faster and less stressful to use freezer ziplocks instead. My old unit was perfect, this one they cheaped out on. The bonus though is the handheld, it is awesome! If I could get a huge supply of the bags that go with, it would be a game changer.

I just bought it today at the Layton, Utah club (big plus it was $25 off with Instant Savings ending tomorrow) and had to try it out. I emptied a bag of frozen peas and carrots into a vacuum bag, pressed the vac/seal button, and away it went. Perfect, firm vacuum, airtight seal. Next was a frozen steak that I knew I had wrapped to loosely, and I was afraid of freezer burn. Another perfect seal. The I tried out the zip bags--I didn't have any food items, so chose some hot-glue sticks. Plugged in the hose to the unit, then into the little green (unexplained) gasket thingy, placed it firmly over the bag's port, and it vacuumed perfectly. BTW, the bags are reusable too, even the ones you make from the rolls. I did another test as well. I had an open bag of potato chips, so I trimmed the open edge with scissors, then placed it into the unit, and pressed "seal". When the indcator told me it was done, I pulled the bag out, and sure enough, a perfect seal was born. I think I'm going to love this FoodSaver. Only four stars because I've only done the test-drive.

You need this! The sealer works perfectly, and is so easy to use! It will definitely save you money, as you can buy in bulk and package however you need to. Items stay fresher much longer, and no freezer burn! You can also use it for packing, to save space, and to keep things from getting wet in your backpack.

I had to replace my old FoodSaver because the heat/seal element stopped working. I wanted the same brand because of the quality of my old one (Model V840). I will happy if this unit lasts as long as the old one did. I figure that it is a good value because of how it helps preserve & protect food after you open the original package.

Unfortunately, it didn't work. It never powered on. It was returned.

Great vacuum sealer, easy to use and had no issues with bags not sealing.

Did not even power on. Have to drive 50 miles to return.

So far, pretty good. A couple of times, it did.not seal all the way across package and had to do the seal twice.

This appliance is easy to use, compact for storage, can be used for almost any food items, and allows you to totally customize your bags.
