This detergent is an awesome option for those who have sensitive skin and need a scent free soap. My clothes are still left clean and fresh without any additives that would cause a reaction.

I’ve used TFAC for years and years. I have incredibly sensitive skin and it’s the only product I can use to wash my clothes. However, I recently noticed that several of the new bottles I’ve purchased have a really strong odor like they’ve gone bad and the liquid itself seems darker too. Many people have mentioned a reformulation of this product and I’m worried about it. I feel like I need to switch detergents to something else because I really don’t want to keep using this if it’s been changed.

I was very disappointed with my most recent purchase of Tide free and clear. Your change in formula is producing a disgusting smell. I have been using your product for at least 30 years and have to throw this bottle out and buy a different brand. I don’t want to wear clothing or sleep in sheets that smell both like chemicals and like something died.

This detergent worked for me for years after our past one caused hives. Now they re-added Benzisothiazolinone, and I break out in hives wherever I sweat into my clothes that have been washed with this detergent. It's very frustrating for a "free and gentle" detergent to contain this toxic chemical preservative... I will not be buying it anymore.

Why is this advertised as hypoallergenic? This detergent made me break out in the worst hives that I have ever had in my life. I clocked it right away as I have not changed anything in my daily routine besides this detergent. As soon as I bought another detergent and had to rewash 6 loads of clothes, the itchiness is starting to calm down. Tide.. do better.

Why do you have the powdered detergent, Clean and Gentle, and not Free and Gentle? Clean and Gentle has "bleach" in it, I don't remember Free and Gentle having Bleach in it? Why the change? Why did you stop making Free and Gentle powdered Tide? Why have you apparently changed the ingredients to the liquid version of Free and Gentle, also? I have read your recent reviews of liquid Free and Gentle Tide and am shocked at people's reaction to your product and all you say is to stop using the product and mothing about changing what you are doing!! How irresponsible of a company you are!! You are not listening to your customers who have used Free and Gentle powder and liquid for years! Please listen and do something about the problem!! The way your product used to be was great! Not anymore!

Gotta add my voice to the outcry of hives here, in the hopes that the company acknowledges that they messed up here. I've never in my life had such a horrible reaction to a product, and it took me weeks and weeks to figure it out. Why would I ever suspect a product that is supposed to be ok for sensitive skin? Multiple rounds of steroids later and I'm facing long term damage to the skin on my face because of this. It's appalling that companies are able to do this and get away with it. And no, I don't want to be told to call a soulless corporate phone number and condescended that this formula change doesn't cause this when there appears to be ample evidence to the contrary.

I’ve used this product for years. I bought the 151 fluid ounce and there is something really wrong with it. I’ve trued to rinse my several times just to get the stench of it out. I have a very sensitive sense of smell and I opened it and thought wow this is stinky. And get my better judgment. I washed a load of clothes in it. Why did I do that? For sure something is wrong with this great big giant bottle and I have no receipt. So im stuck with it and I’m more than upset. Financially times are hard enough and this just makes it worse. There should be some type of seal on the caps. I don’t know what happened but it’s disgusting. I’m really upset about it. I’m on a fixed income and I really can’t afford any extra cost right now. This just made it worse..
