I’m so glad I bought this digital inverter generator as a home power back up. I usually use this generator for black outs camping and now it’s very handy to power my solar generator on cloudy days or for other emergency. I highly recommend this generator it’s not too loud for the amount of energy it gives.

I own a Westinghouse iGen2500c (gasoline only) inverter generator that I bought to run my Mom's boiler water pump. It has a pull start only but starts every time. It runs very quietly and supplies well more than the boiler motor requires. This 4500DF is for my house which needs to run a 1/2hp blower motor for my forced-air furnace as well as my refrigerator. It was delivered very late in the evening so I haven't had a chance to run it. I will start it tomorrow but knowing it's a Westinghouse, I expect the quality to be 100% as good as the 2500c.

I brought this unit home today. The instructions were well written and easy to understand. I was surprised that the recommended gasoline was 87 octane with 10% ethanol. After hooking up the battery, adding oil and fuel, I pushed the start switch and the unit took right off. Very quiet. When I added the included .6 liter container of oil to the .6 liter capacity crankcase of the unit on my level shop floor and added the plug, I had oil running out on the floor. One of the capacities must be wrong. In order to see the serial number I had to lay with my head on the floor with a flashlight. Why put it on the bottom?

Bought this for camping and for when we lose power at the house. Very simple to use whether connecting to propane or using gas. We also wanted a generator that wasn’t noisy for camping off the grid and this delivers as promised. When our neighbors run their portable generator 3 houses down, I can hear theirs over ours!!

After much research I settled on the iGen4500DF. It had all the features I was looking for plus the bonus of remote start. The propane feature is great for the occasional power outage since gas does not store well. I have only ran the unit a bit over an hour doing the break-in but so far I am pleased. It runs very quiet, runs my AC unit on my cargo trailer/camper @ a bit over 25% load. The only thing I wish it had was a 12v out for charging may batteries. It does however have a trickle charge feature so your battery on the generator is always ready to go. I am pleased with my purchase and barring any catastrophic failure in the near future I would easily recommend. Can't wait to get out and use this this thing!

I recently bought this and it works great. I enjoy the remote start and that it powers everything in my rib with no issues. The only problem I found is that in the manual it states to pour the whole quart of oil in which is definitely not the case. I used about 3/4 of it before it was topped off and end up making a mess and it was a pain to clean up.

We purchased this generator after much research into brands, etc. The Westinghouse received consistently high reviews. I will echo those. The unit delivers the power it is rated for and is extremely quiet. I recommend the IGEN4500DF to anyone looking for a power source within its range of output.

I purchased this generator about a month ago and love how much quieter it is compared to an open frame generator. Also, enjoy the power requirements needed for my computer and electronics that it produces than the open frame generator I have. Runs really well and believe I can depend on it when I need it. Hands down an AWESOME Inverter/Gen designed perfectly for the RV Camping world or doing chores around the house. This unit is loaded with features that are appreciated. Push button start, remote start, recoil start never leaves you in a position to get this unit up and running. Serves our purpose well and keeps our Flagstaff up and running with plenty of QUIET power. Thank you Westinghouse for an awesome product.

Was scared at first. Box was delivered pretty beat up but product was not damaged at all. After filling the oil and checking the battery, unit started up with no problems. Using propane as my fuel source it was very smooth running and the noise level was less than I expected. Will update after my first real usage.
