Even though we aren't ready to put it to the test quite yet, of course I wanted to fire it up and see how it performed. Set up was simple, and after following the instructions to connect the battery and fill with oil, I connected the propane, checked for leaks, the fired it up. First with the push button, next with the remote, then finally with the manual crank. Easy and flawless. We then hooked up our camper's 30A line, tested out the air conditioner, and it was just like we were hooked up to shore power. We shut the door, turned off the AC and could barely hear the unit humming just a few feet away from the camper. Looking forward to many years and adventures with this unit!

I purchased this generator in May 2019 and it has stopped starting either remote or otherwise. The rip cord handle fell off, I never used the handle! The fuel float is broke and when I started it with gasoline, all of the gasoline came pouring out of the bottom of the unit! Several other issues, too many to name.

I bought this to replace a smaller wattage generator because of the noise level my other one made. We tailgate quite a bit and having a loud generator became a nuisance. This iGen4500DF delivers not only the power and lower dB's but the ability to use propane...which is a plus! I read many reviews about this generator before buying it and so glad that I join in with the rest.

I bought what seemed to be the last iGen4500DF in stock in the US from Acme Tool (a fine, family owned, upper Great Plains company) who worked with me to have it to me in time for a prolonged time on the road. Thank you Acme! Just the fact that it was in such short supply speaks to good features and performance, not supply chain issues. This has to be the easiest-to-use piece of technology I've purchased. Push a button, whether on the unit or on the remote, and you have "angry pixies" to run all the things you can't do without. And the neighbors aren't any the wiser that you have the benefit of power when they may not. It is light enough to lift into the back of a pickup, starts so easily that I don't have to break a sweat, is quieter than the AC unit it drives, and can run on both gasoline and propane. I look forward to using the retractable pull handle the next time I take it with me on my next commercial flight. (Not really, but it pulls as easily as many checked bags.) I bought this generator to provide emergency backup power. It's fairly compact and quiet, yet appears to be well built and runs really smoothly. Starts easily via pull cord, electric push button or wireless fob. Setup was easy with the included oil and funnel. Side panel openings provide quick access to the battery and oil fill/drain, although it is a bit tight given it was engineered for a small profile and with sound insulating side panels. I love the dual fuel capability and so far have only run it on propane. While its primary purpose will be backup power, I like that it is portable and quiet and could be used for camping, tailgating, etc.

I have no experience re durability, but the startup was quick and painless and the machine is surprisingly quiet. Clear startup instructions. Wheel placement allows a tall guy like me to pull the handle without have to bend way over...thanks for thinking of us tall guys. I'll happily put up with the reduced KW output in order to use propane and never have to mess with old gas and clogged carburetors again. Grateful for the dual fuel option in a relatively low cost machine.

We bought this generator a month ago for specific reasons. 1) several electric outages occur in our area, 2) we needed to run our life saving medical equipment without interruption, 3) must have an inverter for the computer and other sensitive electronics. It's the perfect generator, dual fuel propane and fuel, electric, pull, and remote start. Has wheels and a handle for easy movement. It is uncommonly quiet!! Amazing. We're very happy with this purchase. Would highly recommend this generator for everyone.

I bought this generator a month ago and it was delivered on schedule. I expected the box to be damaged but it wasn’t; only a couple of tears but nothing of any consequence. The generator was packaged well to prevent shipping damage. The unit did not take the entire quart of oil that came with it. A couple ounces of oil spilled out the overflow port onto the floor. Would recommend placing an old towel under the unit when filling it with oil.

I bought the IGEN 5000DFC yesterday. I found this unit to provide lots of great features. The multi display is outstanding and provides full status of the unit while operating. The dual fuel option is really a great feature as well. A couple items that I found could be improved: 1) The manual is vague on the operation. Fails to say how to turn the unit on specifically & how to turn it off. I figured it out & its simple.by pushing the round start button to turn on & also to turn it off. 2) Read the manual fully before operating. Fortunately I did this. The unit ships without any fluids in place. Must service the engine oil before you start it. 3) Engine oil service port is small & difficult to get into if you have larger hands. Otherwise, This is a great unit. Quiet and delivers as expected.
