Like all the little features that it has

Bought it for mainly my camper, I like the power that it has for an inverter generator and all of the different features it has. They made it the way it should be made. Had a little problem with shipped bad fuel making float stick but cleaned it and it runs like a champ now.

Quiet, Powerful, Easy, and still Portable

I've used several generators for different purposes and locations from H*nda to H*rbor. On my travel trailer, had been using a highly customized competitor config with modifications for propane and to the AC so it could run the AC (wife's requirement for long summer camping trips). However, at really high altitudes (where I often camp) the propane just couldn't keep up and had to go gas (which I hate dealing with). A buddy of mine borrowed this from his friend. Compared to my H*nda, it is quieter, more powerful, and a lower net cost than all the add ons. Had to get one, which took a while given low inventories. At 100 lbs, it's not as easy to maneuver but still doable for the four times we need to move it per camping trip (load up/setup, breakdown/back to garage), and the wheels help. Out of the box with oil provided, started up first touch and ran a variable test load for 4 hrs on propane. Ran everything except microwave without ever going above 50%. Adding microwave kicked it to 75% tier, but I never actually use the microwave anyways. Changed out first run oil to synthetic, and attaching a quick release for the propane connector. Can easily disconnect the onboard battery for storage, or use the provided trickle charger. Native TT30R port means you don't even need to buy a conversion dogbone. Only minus is the oil port is buried inside, which requires screwing in a flimsy funnel provided that I'm sure will easily break. Otherwise, they've really thought through a fantastic solution for the RV boon docking enthusiast. If you see this in stock, jump on it.

Just what I was looking for

Hours of researching portable generators and reading reviews from professionals and end-users narrowed my choice down to the iGen4500DF. I needed a portable inverter generator that would deliver clean AC power for my electronic devices with enough capacity to keep critical appliances in service during an extended outage. The flexibility to switch from gasoline to propane without interruption is a huge plus for me and makes it easier and safer to store enough propane for an emergency. Ran the initial break-in and performed the first oil change to get ready as needed.

Professional Documentation, Good Features

Good product from a a great company. Quiet and efficient. Only problem encountered was wrong part number specified in manual for high altitude kit. Customer service quickly corrected this at no cost to me and assured me documentation was being revised.

I like the dashboard. Easy to read and use

Bought this about two weeks ago. Just got it. Took it out the box today and running it through the break in procedure with the break oil provided. It started right away. Ran it a little while on gas and decided to finish the break in on propane. Easy to hook up and switch fuel supply. Runs smoother on propane than gas. But that makes sense, I expected that. I am an old propane guy. Engines always run better on propane.

Nice Generator

Purchased the IGen4500 because of all the features - auto start, dual fuel, remote start. Have not used the propane to run it as of yet, but it runs great on gasoline. Starts very easy with the push button start. Only issue I am having is with the remote start. Does not work. Every once in a while it will shut off the with the remote, but will hardly start it.

Very quiet, easy to setup

I bought this middle of January for a less noise and more power. Came in and put the oil and gas in according to the quick setup and started right up, no issues. Cannot believe what a difference the sound level is to my older generator. Hopefully I don’t need to use it much but I am prepared.

53 hours and running strong

Picked it up before a hurricane and glad I did, we were out of power for 6 days. It was in good shape out of the box. Start up instructions were clear and easy to read with charts and pictures. I really enjoyed the display that showed load factor and how many watts being used. It powered everything I threw at it(not at the same time) including the fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, fans, TV, microwave and electric kettle. The only one It had issue with was starting up the portable AC unit. The response time for the throttle was too slow to make up for the voltage drop and it rebooted the AC unit before it could get running. I had to take off the side cover and manually rev up the engine before the AC compressor kicked on then it would work fine. Used it with gasoline and propane with no issues. For oil changes I used a couple of cinder blocks to prop it up to make it easier. Made it to 53 hours run time no issues.

Quality product

Just bought this generator and I’m in the process of getting it broke in. It responds to varying loads well. I don’t think it’s as quiet as my Honda EU3000is that it is replacing, considering that it’s a larger generator but it is still very quiet. Happy with this purchase!

Almost perfect.

Set up instructions were clear and concise. Packaging was solid. Dialing in the correct oil level was somewhat tedious because of it previously being test run with oil at the factory. Residual oil in the motor resulted in only partial use of the otherwise exact quantity of included bottled of oil. Connected the battery and propane it fired right up an flawlessly powered through its break-in hours. My only gripes are it not having an OEM quick disconnect set up for the propane and the short propane hose. I very nearly went with a Champion for the quick disconnect feature. Only other suggestion is to move the rolling handle set up so it lifts from the top of the unit which would make deployment of the handle much more efficient.
